thestringpuller: mod6 asciilifeform dunno if just weird artifact along with bad luck or actual potential problem, but my node running on slowest hardware is only receiving BASTARD BLOCK s. I'm connected to
deedbot (a trusted node) with -addnode. using same patch tree as hanbot
Reuel: Hey guys, how come
deedbot spits out article urls every know and then? Is it like an ownership registration?
mircea_popescu: danielpbarron ie, you'd rather lobbesbot says something to
deedbot, then !!v's ?
mircea_popescu: essentially. it allows to filter the flood at the gate. if invoices are not signed then
deedbot has to talk to person any time an electric interaction happens ; if they are signed person can have whitelists,
deedbot need only talk to person when meaningful occurs.
danielpbarron: how does
deedbot deal with having 2 ^ 64 up requests?
mircea_popescu: danielpbarron the only reason it's signed (by the bot) is so that
deedbot can distinguish it from a spoof.
mircea_popescu: and yes, singer = intended recipient ; this way lobbes can make lobbesbot a
deedbot account and get paid.
trinque: I don't see that they need to. Rather,
deedbot ought to output regular deeds of the transactions it has processed in a given period (week/month)
mircea_popescu: of course in principle
deedbot could work as it works now, take any url, if shoe fits it pays.

deedbot thing.

☟︎ trinque: semi-relatedly,
deedbot will be catching up on blocks for a bit this morning. I shut it down earlier to move old db files to a slower drive.
BingoBoingo: Also when linking wot'd persons feel free to link to wot.
deedbot.org
trinque:
deedbot's up to date, 449185 per website, probably ahead of that now
ben_vulpes: Ingolfr_Arnarson: you'll hafta pm
deedbot if you haven't figured that out yet
shinohai: once you get a link to it, simply register it with
deedbot thus: !!register <url to paste>
trinque:
deedbot said candi_lustt, lol
ben_vulpes: pete_dushenski: needs no dependency on
deedbot pete_dushenski: asciilifeform: i think ben_vulpes intends to say that
deedbot's forthcoming payment service could keep track of invoicing

deedbot in a private message, then decrypt the response, and reply to
deedbot with !!v <your OTP here>
Framedragger: btw trinque i don't think my gpg key has all the associated ratings in your wot.
deedbot.org wwwtron. but mebbe the latter isn't finished anyway, so i'm jumping ahead of myself :)
mircea_popescu: incidentally, i would say
deedbot also counts as tmsr keyserver now.
trinque: wot.
deedbot.org will likely result in two genesis patches down the line. one for the tool, other for the particular site
mircea_popescu: anyway, phf 's notion of "recourse" is a lot more important than directly obvious in context ; it's a direct restatement of the "opposable" concept used in discussing
deedbot payment design, and altogetgher the trestlework of sanity in operations.
Framedragger: i guess one may have a database of keys, as well as a table of signed-with-key nicknames which establish someone claiming a nickname for key? sort of gns. alternative scheme is to have any kind of aliasing be local, as per gossipd. less convenient for things like looking up nickname in wot.
deedbot.org of course.
