phuctor on a mac lappy (it happened to be the one in the room with sufficient free disk) and it works -- except that apparently gdb no longer works on latest crapple os
Mocky:
http://btcbase.org/log/2018-07-17#1835572 >> does it change your pov if the hash is no form of protection or implied protection but merely an accounting convenience. like say
http 'referrer' on
phuctor page links to pizarro. maybe pizarro uses referrer to track where customer comes from and if came from known ad placement then counts customer for that ad. is referrer string now promisatronic protection since anyone
☝︎ mircea_popescu: asciilifeform maybe this is not evident, but there's a large difference between client and server in a mmorpg. here discussed is client, equivalent of browser in
phuctor-netuser relationship
mircea_popescu: and no, you've not published
phuctor, nor liked the idea. shall i quote you or can you quote yourself ?
phf: asciilifeform: a side point is that we have existing proprietary proggies, that are right now extreme cases of "bus factor". deedbot,
phuctor, etc.

diana_coman: lol mircea_popescu we'll end up linking
phuctor to eulora and have "had his key phucked. Congratulations!"
mircea_popescu: btw, asciilifeform : the
phuctor design is narrow. plenty of space to put stuff on the sides, rather than bottom, if you wantr.
|\n: trinque, i'm just a dude that sometimes hears of
phuctor and things that include links to the blog, i like what i see, cool pals discuss it, i'd like to track more of it, whatever it is
mircea_popescu: am i supposed to not notice the overpowering flavour of mendacity, "hey, we already did what
phuctor does!!!!" story all over again ?
a111: Logged on 2018-06-04 17:26 mircea_popescu: phf, it also has the advantage that it works, and VERY well. which to my knowledge is not true of any other piece of web software (alf's complaints notwithstanding,
phuctor emergent codebase may qualify)

☟︎ a111: Logged on 2017-02-19 03:54 asciilifeform: (iirc we had a thread where i described how corporate ameritards, if given a problem like
phuctor, would happily soak up a few $mil and megawatt of iron)
douchebag: mircea_popescu: When I try to load these keys into
phuctor, it just asks if it's a real key
douchebag: I would just be grabbing that and loading it into
phuctor, correct?
a111: Logged on 2018-05-18 01:50 mircea_popescu: asciilifeform, anyway,
phuctor is kinda deliberately designed to not be a "only us" item. so what can you do.

phuctor readers! about to remove 676 spurious factors ( they equal their moduli, and are factors of no others) from the db; these crept in in late 2016
a111: Logged on 2018-05-06 16:43 asciilifeform: ^ d00d with large collection of debian-style 'famous p's and q's', even once showed up here and asked to get
phuctor's, and he did, but somehow his collection includes ~whole keys~ rather than factors. soon i'ma feed in ~his~ collection.
mircea_popescu: i must say im really impressed with
phuctor 3.0 webatron. sensibly more responsive than prev.

phuctor was written very tightly around indexing pgp keys, and demands that all keys be indexable in the same ways ( by e.g. gpg-compat fingerprint ) . additionally , it demands that all keys have a human-readable legend, and ssh key format does not give any field for such.
lobbesbot: spyked: Sent 47 minutes ago: <asciilifeform> this script takes the format used in jurov's 'phathub' 2016 collection, and produces set of
phuctor-compatible keys. do not forget to specify 'legend', the user string, to identify precisely what the key is, otherwise it will remain a mystery forever to reader
