"changing code without restart is pretty cool". subjectively, it feels that way, i feel it. but then ... what of the people caught in mid transaction by an invisible change ? seems to me this coolness resolves no actual problem, just pushes the goop around.

diana_coman: it's a textfile that has no middleware for artist to import assets into the engine. you have to either write it yourself or place the geometry in their yourself. It's 2016 not 1993.

diana_coman: well, there is no hard requirement as such to have the client written in cpp; but it's true that it's quite a huge effort to make an alternative, sane client (for one thing, I'd love a text-only client for instance)
