deedbot: Invoiced mircea_popescu 0.04344809 << 1 rockchip @ pizarro, april 19 2018 -- april 19 2019
trinque:
deedbot has to be one of the longest running and most reliable services here
trinque: I'm looking at what ended up in
deedbot's keyring when you fed it that key
trinque: cnomad: why did you put an expired key into poor
deedbot?
oda: mircea_popescu: I got it working with the paste site in the
deedbot help site. Also that tiuxo site is my site. Cloudflare filtering might have denied
deedbot, I filter out China / Russia / Korea and a few useragent strings I was getting a lot of weird traffic from

deedbot: |\n voiced for 30 minutes.
lobbesbot: trinque: Sent 13 hours and 6 minutes ago: <asciilifeform> might be worth testing whether koch's latest lul affects
deedbot's gpg hose
fromdeedbot: namecoin and
deedbot... i cant think of a better use case
trinque: !!gettrust
DeeDboT AsCIIliFEforM
spyked: ave1, yep. the process is not refined yet (getting the encrypted OTPs from
deedbot is a tad irksome, gotta sift through cl-irc messages), but getting there.
trinque: spyked: should I turn off
deedbot RSS?
trinque:
deedbot doesn't require you be auth'd to nickserv, but does challenge you based on the nick with which you're speaking to it.

http://btcbase.org/log/2018-05-26#1819113 <-- I personally like trinque's proposal because it enforces a certain level of hygiene and because it doesn't require calling gpg from lisp. but I'm more curious about what other bot operators have to say about it. so even if for example the poker bot needs to handle funds into its own
deedbot wallet, I'm curious whether this semi-manual scheme would be feasible.

☝︎☟︎ trinque: to reiterate, I do not have code to self-voice.
deedbot is providing voice to everyone else.
trinque: mircea_popescu:
deedbot is *providing* auth here
trinque: he should extend the thing with a subclass that implements
deedbot auth, yeah, but recall
deedbot auth service is itself down the tree from ircbot
Mocky: i mean seems like
deedbot + voice is already keeping randos from speaking here
spyked: !!gettrust
deedbot spyked
spyked: ave1, yeah, querying
deedbot is kinda what I had in mind (not sure if it can be avoided). something like
ave1: BTW how would you do this "I want to limit access to relevant bot commands to L1 and L2 only" ? Check if the nick has voice or download the WOT or can
deedbot be queried?
ben_vulpes: asciilifeform BingoBoingo: i await a transaction to clear through
deedbot, then i shall settle your invoices
spyked: (I suspect there is no way to separate privkey storage from bot operation *and* automatically perform e.g.
deedbot self-voicing; but I might be wrong)
lobbes: douchebag: The 'social engineering' in my statement refers to leveraging the RCE to (painfully, because lobbesbot privkey does not control any
deedbot funds, so you'd need -my- privkey, which does not reside on public toilet box you RCE'd into) use
deedbot -normally- by becoming lobbes through key theft
lobbes: so, in theory, sure. But in practice you'd have to expend quite a bit of effort to find the gpg privkey in order to decrypt
deedbot's challenge to determine the balance of that one
deedbot wallet, which still isn't finding a flaw in
deedbot, just good social engineering attack (e.g. picking a key off someone's person does not mean the lock the key belongs to is flawed)
mod6: Ah, gotcha. Well, generally, if you want to be a person, you need to get yourself a key and register with
deedbot. Then you can self-voice, and participate. As one does.
ben_vulpes: i'm going to do it in postgres; should be a lot easier to get php to do both the mysql for the pizarro mpwp and the postgres for
deedbot than to port
deedbot to mysql
fromdeedbot: and the
deedbot got crossed up in my googling
spyked:
http://btcbase.org/log/2018-05-06#1810568 <-- hey asciilifeform, sorry for the late reply on this. what do you think about throwing an instance of my experimental rss bot in a separate chan (say, #phuctor) to spit however many new phuctorings? it's not fit for #t yet (
deedbot self-voicing not yet ready) and not 100% stable yet, but it'd give me a chance to test it; and you to give me a kick in the rear if it doesn't work.
☝︎ a111: Logged on 2018-05-08 20:33 asciilifeform: unrelatedly, jurov collection expected to be fully eaten in 3-4 hrs. mircea_popescu , trinque , if you feel like switching on phuctor-
deedbot-ticker prior to the 7mil keys being crunched, lemme know. ( if not , also say, then i'ma run it without waiting )
trinque: asciilifeform: already explained that if the RSS is ever longer than 20 when checked, only 20 are coming through
deedbot fromdeedbot: hey guys so I did register my RSA key to
deedbot as "fromdeedbot" but i got it working. I'm learning a lot of things are new to me right now so please xcuse me ahead of time if i do something in bad from, it's not on purpose
trinque: recall I saw this with the
deedbot wallet? type is too small
lobbes: I still dun get why seperate channel wouldn't work?
deedbot today somehow does xyz and successfully announces phuctor pops here. Why can't one of the n00bs stand up a bot to do the same thing... but in a side channel? Shouldn't require any changes at all to standing phuctor process, right?
mircea_popescu: asciilifeform, how about this : you edit your current rss script, so that ~instead~ of what it does, it plunks its results down in a new table ; and someone (tm) writes you the py script to read that new table and put out usable rss for
deedbot. how about that ?

deedbot sounds like the first implementation of a smart contract. I was wondering if you guys thought anything of ethereum. More specifically if you have continued to develop
deedbot, or know of a smart contract type platform being devolped on BTC
fromdeedbot:
deedbot is predecessor to smart contract imho

deedbot in a pm
