asciilifeform: for thread-completeness, let's put mp_en_viaje's test here ( #a-test is a garbage chan and aint logged )
asciilifeform: ty for test mp_en_viaje . there's also a raw-all knob (to make syncs easier) , contains all logged material from all enabled chans.
asciilifeform: mp_en_viaje: can i persuade you to pop into #asciilifeform-test for 5min ? ( to see format of crosspost-indication-enabled bot that i'ma be rotating in tonight )
asciilifeform: atm if you want a FG for use in mars probe -- gotta do it sovok-style, take 10 and test in the desired conditions , pick the champ.
lobbes: I'm going to leave demo bot running in my monkey castle for the night, so folx are more than welcome to come and test it / try to break it.
lobbes: ( for those that care, ip of my test blog above is 208.70.251.10 )

BingoBoingo: asciilifeform: Mandarin allowed honoring Mao-think as a sort of A/B test, and allowed the revision to be popularly embraced. Something about Mandarin lets the Chinese be cohesive on just about anything. It's weird, alien, and seems rather far removed from what is in the Anglo language toolbox.
mircea_popescu: no guarantee ima spot test tho.

asciilifeform: lobbes: when you have the correct (i.e. both ends) vpatch for this, i'ma test & stand up on my end asap, so 'log-raw' sync worx properly.

asciilifeform: btw in re 'countries where can't buy test button for geiger' -- is ridiculously impotent ban; all you gotta do is to (carefully!) collect dust from crt monitor screen for coupla wks, and mix into a coupla grams of epoxy. po-210, 214, 218 . billymg: looking forward to when i can get out of the salt mines and dedicate more time to this, especially when the test suite is complete and i can get back to the mass deleting
lobbes: still need to: 1) test a bit more 2) import data dumps 3) get bot in all of the chans

asciilifeform: ftr i was half-convinced that it won't even run outside of asciilifeform's test beds -- until lobbes replicated

asciilifeform: not bought yet, can't buy until all irons pass test
mircea_popescu: might be worth it to put a coupla us in a box, test whether can be taken through ?

lobbes: will do. yeah, I didn't get the bot portion running on my local test box, nor did I do port forwarding, but the reader.py and database portions were up and running pretty smoothly
