faberge egg bait, let's put it in the logs. so yes on the substance front i asked alf if he knows what it is because it is in fact stained glass, except with gold instead of lead and porcelain instead of glass, ie just like his properly cast key, piston-and-typeface in metal, bulk in porcelain.
