deedbot phuctor style ?
☟︎ Framedragger: jesus you guys, you realise all those
deedbot messages are still internally encrypted with symmetric aes ('session key') right? and you think the lowest-hanging fruit is fingerprint? ok i guess
mircea_popescu: asciilifeform you realise,
deedbot searched me in its own copy of the gns. by fp.
mircea_popescu: all our uses, in
deedbot, in voicing model, in wot, in v, all rely on the concept of fp as gns namespace.
Framedragger: so
deedbot or gns would decide on the allowed fingerprinting schemes.
mircea_popescu: think - currently
deedbot administers a very narrow implementation of the gns, whereby if you claim to own X domain, it challenges you and if you pass it gives it to you.
☟︎ Framedragger: mircea_popescu: i'm still not sure about the delegation thing. if A owns goodreads, B should in principle be able to register fuck.goodreads , right? but then allowing for a possibility of delegation would be nice. or, it'd just be a matter of convention *within
deedbot's context*.
mircea_popescu: so then
deedbot could own goodreads and delegate mircea_popescu.goodreads to me.
trinque thinks the serial diode as described by asciilifeform is appropriate for
deedbot wallet.
trinque: that's what I did with
deedbot; forgot about it and the gods favored me.
trinque: even if we were doing
deedbot: !!up guy people would moan about how they don't remember which bot does what
deedbot: shinohai updated rating of trinque from 2 to 3 <<

mircea_popescu: asciilifeform if you were to write timetables, how much time would you count "generate a pgp key and register it with
deedbot" ? full hour ? ten minutes ? full day ?
a111: Logged on 2016-11-17 15:06 mircea_popescu: trinque can
deedbot rss parsing be unprincipledly altered so that any succession of alphanum characters in excess of 16 spaces is replaced with first4[...]last4 ?
mircea_popescu: then it could bundle all of these together in a base64'd blob each week and
deedbot them.
a111: Logged on 2016-11-19 16:45 Framedragger: i suppose the idea could be to re-implement that, but using
deedbot's view of WoT, and add additional things as desired.

mod6: This would be a really great project to work on, we're long overdue to get this working with
deedbot, etc.

☟︎ ben_vulpes: pete_dushenski: scrap 'drafted in' line and jam it into
deedbot?
mircea_popescu: Framedragger yeah whenever
deedbot polls it gets the last 10. but in that interval the rss could have updated 500 times even

deedbot is in the habit of sending encrypted one time pads
RodrigoBTC: Need to learn how to register public key with
deedbot mircea_popescu: you are currently asking
deedbot "where to send this repuiblican tax again ?"
mircea_popescu: asciilifeform this is a matter of fact, not a matter of opinion. it's of the nature of ask
deedbot, not of the nature of "what does the lordship think"
mircea_popescu: (ftr, re "does z sign", there's a beautiful tie-in for
deedbot in here, because there's no reason i couldn't register straight from !!, and especially so if i have to pay something)
trinque: mircea_popescu: no. once I know a key I can interact with
deedbot if I can make it there over gossipd peerings
mircea_popescu: trinque and if you want to know what
deedbot contains, also ask friends ?
ben_vulpes: you can talk to

☟︎ trinque: one, remove --recv-key entirely from
deedbot; two, anyone whose key expires is a dead nick
mircea_popescu: even the notion of "expire" as implemented in gpg.koch is nonsense. should be replaced with "disused", as in, "i took it out of
deedbot and am not using it anymore"
mircea_popescu: course i dunno if we even have support for this in
