phf: asciilifeform: you can also calm the fuck down, and post your version of gnupg, version 0.3.2, unsigned is fine, and we can figure out what the issue is. i'll look at the diff and see if 0.3.2 can be added to v.py as another file
a111: Logged on 2018-10-30 02:34 BingoBoingo: Also December 7, 8, and 9th will be the expocannabis Uruguay. I plan on going there in a recon capacity, if anyone else is looking for a very Uruguay reason to visit Uruguay, that would be the weekend to come on down.
BingoBoingo: Kinda why I'm excited about breaking down and killing the legacy notes file ☟︎
ben_vulpes: viewport was way down in the ledgers.
BingoBoingo: asciilifeform: Most of what's left is continuing down the list and doing good old fashioned janitor work
mod6: So I think the correct thing to do here is to step-down from the Pizarro board, let someone else direct and lead the company to glory, as opposed to the back pages of tardstalk.
ben_vulpes: it may be an 0.3s job to you or one of the ladies that you've trained. every time i sat down to categorize the list of incoming/outgoing into cash account vs customer equity; depreciate the hardware; walk the customer list to determine how much to debit the customer equity line; calculate the value of the btc and uyu i spent about eight hours on it in i estimate in retrospect two four hour shifts (from
mircea_popescu: "I’m sorry good girls, but it’s true. But first, allow me to clarify. There are plenty of bad girls who come across as good girls to the untrained eye. These women will play straight arrows out in public, but once they get you behind closed doors, they unleash the beast." << straight up rewrite of the xtian holy book. "they may suck, but maybe deep down there's some nonsuck ?". srsly now ?!
BingoBoingo: Maybe you bring some hardware down, but keep it low stress if you do.
mod6: I have the hunger to do much. But I fear that I've bitten off more than I can chew -- especially with things that are not in my wheelhouse that really take-away time, or slow down other progress. This being accounting things, or other management stuff.
mod6: for #2: We keep the notes so we know what's going on with all the customer accounts, our ledgers, and general information about on-goings of the business. This is necessary so we don't have to log-spelunk everything. Logs don't work all the time, like right now, the logging for #pizarro is down.
mod6: So usually that leaves 30min-1hour per night, sometimes more depending on the size. Sometimes I fall down a well in the logs if i'm looking for something specific related to any number of things: pizarro, foundation, ada, ffa, who knows.
mircea_popescu: "do it like this because smarter people than you sat down once and figured it ALL out, and go read logs if you have issues"
mircea_popescu: tbh this is a fundamental issue here anyway. data serialization, we haven't invented, it isn't going away. gotta set down a http://btcbase.org/log/2018-01-04#1764004 thing for "how we expect you to serialize". ☝︎
Mocky: hard pills to swallow, but i'm going to have to choke down the php and the http://btcbase.org/log/2018-10-22#1865105 because I don't want to spend the time to bake the actually moving pieces ☝︎
Mocky: http://btcbase.org/log/2018-11-08#1870186 >> I had a toaster with cancel button a few years ago was just this. Once you add the 'feature' of smart toasting whereby turning the knob after toasting has started has no effect and then once you further add the feature that the lift handle is mechanically locked down and can't be lifted during the cycle, then yes, once you accept those things you then 'need' the red button ☝︎
asciilifeform: diana_coman: it's safe (i.e. endianism-proof) if you actually nail down the layout of the record (see barnes re how)
BingoBoingo: Not ancient. Front line star if we get a regional war down here
asciilifeform: what, their fingers only move up/down ??
BingoBoingo: Never went down to the Pony track?
asciilifeform: jurov i was gonna link to your lxr ( which i've used 9000 times in all trb work ) as example of why ^ , but it seems to be down
mircea_popescu: "allah blesses, but doesn't chase you down the street with it" or how did it go.
mod6: asciilifeform: nice. I really need to get to that. I kinda went through a lot of it while you were working on it - but I really wanna sit down and work through each chapter. Got other things on the stack first tho.
asciilifeform: the 1 workaround i've found is to make the lib 100% generic 'all the way down', but it's ugly imho
a111: Logged on 2018-10-26 02:14 asciilifeform: meanwhile, in gnat bugs : apparently ( and this is documented or mentioned nowhere ) : it is impossible to have a Ada.Finalization.Limited_Controlled type ANYWHERE inside a static library, unless it is generic all the way down (i.e. if the lib package is generic, any sub-packages must also be instantiated as generics )
Mocky: felt like "yeah he's a mile down the road, can't miss it"
Mocky: went down to the ministry of transportation and communitications today to book an appointment. they told me he wasn't at that building but the other ministry building
mircea_popescu: speaking of cabbage-ate-wolf, yest @bbq had juvenile duck stare down the shit out of adult pitbulls.
asciilifeform: nah ( my pest control algo for those actually, believe or not , worked, 8 down and none seen lately )
mircea_popescu: or up and down or we
BingoBoingo: No, there isn't. There are knobs that influence the range of memory footprints mysql will sit in, and none of them appear to be able to be turned meaningfully down on a living database.
BingoBoingo: ^ Indictment prepped for the likely event Canadian "revenue agents" begin kicking down doors
asciilifeform: the only seekrit ingredient missing is some way to actually lay the physical circuit down.
asciilifeform: hm trinque , deedbot down ?
Mocky: 20 something attractive white euros 500 / hr and wont negotiate down
Mocky: the 75/25 male female ratio is actually a lot worse than that, given how locked down a lot of the domestic female workers are
mircea_popescu: so a review of extant candidates is not a self-obvious first step in attempting to sit down for such a competition ?
mircea_popescu: it's healthy, let alone necessary, to rage in certain circumstances. this here being a fine fucking example -- because i still not for a second believe had you earnestly sat ass down in 2015 you couldn't have earned that 10 coin.
mod6: Can anyone confirm that 37.59.43.190 and 199.204.187.186 nodes are down?
diana_coman: asciilifeform, http://btcbase.org/log/2018-10-29#1867369 -> there's something I don't get here: if A xor D xor F xor H = 0 then this imposes F xor H = A xor D and so you'd need to substitute that everywhere else because F and H are not anymore free to be whatever or the initial a xor d xor f xor h won't hold anymore; more precisely: further down the line for instance at W(2) that F xor H is in fact A xor D so A does actually still appear, ☝︎
BingoBoingo: I am going to lay down and try to sleep more confused and scared than I have been since February, because this banksy thing is some serious boogeyman shit
BingoBoingo: Who knows maye 10 years down the line I catch up to the log summaries and manage to stabilize a cannabis cultivar that gives a pleasant head rush with minimal stupids and sedation in contrast to Pantsuit fad pressure dab shit.
BingoBoingo: In still other anyways, where I am today I see the endgame where Pizarro survives to Profitability; I continue Qntra and other writing/social engineering, and gardening someting other than container chives while a republican colony settles down in this Martian hellscape wouldn't be a bad play.
BingoBoingo: Also December 7, 8, and 9th will be the expocannabis Uruguay. I plan on going there in a recon capacity, if anyone else is looking for a very Uruguay reason to visit Uruguay, that would be the weekend to come on down. ☟︎
a111: Logged on 2018-10-01 16:30 mircea_popescu: ~then~, after that gets established, one can step down, add another, and so on. like a steps process, with continuity and everything.
mod6: iirc mircea_popescu said we could even have three chairs(?) might be mis-remembering that (may have to log-dig for that). I'd be happy to continue doing my role with a TRB focus, or I could step down officially and just keep doing TRB stuffs without the fancy title.
mod6: BingoBoingo: I believe it. It's probably hard to aquire firearms down there 'eh?
mircea_popescu: To obtain P back from E without K : P[1] = P[1] x K[1] * P[1] x K[2] * P[2] x K[3] * P[3] x K[4] * P[4] x K[5] * P[5] ; P[2] = P[2] x K[1] * P[2] x K[2] * P[3] x K[3] * P[4] x K[4] * P[5] x K[5] * P[6] ; and so following all the way down.
asciilifeform hoses down vivisection table
asciilifeform: they're still going down in cost, also.
asciilifeform: so long as it sits down in 8k gates
mircea_popescu: so yes, i fully expect they'll buy, and then admire the hole we've dug ourselves in : five years down the road, say, as a mental experiment, we've sold 100k of these units, they're 90% of all we've sold, and well... they're still blockshiters. and what's next ? say i utter a fatah against block "ciphering", for good technical reasons or just because i'm insane -- IT DOESNT MATTER, and lo there'll be a lordship schism because
diana_coman: http://btcbase.org/log/2018-10-26#1866278 -> ~every time I used String for anything more than constant value I regretted it somewhere down the line so I tend to converge on the same idea - it's just broken ☝︎
asciilifeform: liquishit all the day down...
asciilifeform: so then sat down and implemented it in http://p.bvulpes.com/pastes/RJjFb/?raw=true form. however this cannot be made to go , because if MemMap package does not know the path at instantiation time, it cannot run,
asciilifeform: meanwhile, in gnat bugs : apparently ( and this is documented or mentioned nowhere ) : it is impossible to have a Ada.Finalization.Limited_Controlled type ANYWHERE inside a static library, unless it is generic all the way down (i.e. if the lib package is generic, any sub-packages must also be instantiated as generics ) ☟︎☟︎☟︎☟︎☟︎☟︎☟︎
asciilifeform: d00d commissions a 5-story hruscheba-castle in the middle of fucking wasteland. he's bankrupt the second he signs the paper, whether he doubles down later and goes broke-er or not, neh
mircea_popescu: what you really need to do is take on an apprentice, to cut down on that year.\
asciilifeform: the obvious down-side, aside from the substantially moar complicated logic, would be that you could no longer dd if=/dev/fg | dieharder etc
a111: Logged on 2018-10-23 04:35 mircea_popescu: every time we notice same answer is given to repeated question, we note it down. before, what's the use ?
mircea_popescu: every time we notice same answer is given to repeated question, we note it down. before, what's the use ? ☟︎
asciilifeform: melted down spectacularly
Mocky: yeah, pretty far down the list
lobbes: hm interesting. I too have hands tied up but have been meaning to get a few chapters of ffa under my belt. I'll jot this idea down for far off in the conveyor if someone else doesn't get to it first (and by all means, Someone: feel free to beat me to this punch)
mircea_popescu: shut the shit down.
mircea_popescu: police picking them up, you know, "you ok sr ?" "i'm fine. i'm fine. it's ok." "did you see a huge clucking airplane coming behind you flapping its wings, hopping up and down and clucking ?!"
mircea_popescu: so i can readily see how and why this'd break down, and especially i can see why they'd register the specific complaint in the specific terminology with mocky. who knows, maybe bitcoin was made for their mula's stupid cunt, and maybe the republic is just pantsuitism++. maybe i sent mocky there to finallty right all "wrongs" ?
Mocky: I still have 4 leads to finish chasing down re not needing a Qatari to form a company. not necessarily promising leads but still need to get to the truth of them
a111: Logged on 2018-10-20 18:47 Mocky: Being as the requirement for standard LLC is 51% Qatari ownership, this new info suggests to me that having two locals who split the 51% may be the way to go. They can still close it down but not at the whim of a single person.
asciilifeform: my current best 4096bit modexp is still 22 sec. on the 'standard' test iron. but with barrett ( next ch. ) cuts down to ~5sec iirc; and with asm, hypothetically <1s
asciilifeform: ACHTUNG, panzers! node zoolag will be going down for ssd upgrade in ~10m, for at least 1hr
mircea_popescu: http://btcbase.org/log/2018-10-20#1864463 << universal orc problem. in the space of one half hour saw three (out of five total) cars breaking down. WHY MAINTAIN ANYTHIUNG!!!! WHATY YOU CAN T SEE DOES NOT EXIST!!! ☝︎
BingoBoingo: <diana_coman> BingoBoingo, don't they sell just pills to swallow? << They do sell them, but at the moment with their size... they don't go down without fighting the surrounding environment
Mocky: Being as the requirement for standard LLC is 51% Qatari ownership, this new info suggests to me that having two locals who split the 51% may be the way to go. They can still close it down but not at the whim of a single person. ☟︎
Mocky: Also re impulsiveness: one school adminsitrator said they have a rule of 3 for instructions comeing down from Qatari management. Let them ask three times including an official goverment memo before you do anything they say. Because as soon as they start to see the fall out of random impulsive decisions they will reverse it and have you undo all your work.
asciilifeform: ACHTUNG, panzers! zoolag going down for ~30min for test of experimental patch, in ~10m
Mocky: fewer lashes for theft etc. I know the corporal punishment sentences are handed down, but not always implemented. I don't know the ratio of commuting to jail time / deportation
a111: Logged on 2018-10-19 02:17 BingoBoingo: I have to say from Mocky's pics of Qatar so far I am impressed by the manner in which they manage to hide the electric wires. Down here they just... can't

BingoBoingo: I have to say from Mocky's pics of Qatar so far I am impressed by the manner in which they manage to hide the electric wires. Down here they just... can't ☟︎
asciilifeform: amberglint: it is interesting that somebody actually bothered to sit down and make a pill for ns. suggests that somebody, somewhere, has what to read in it..
asciilifeform: grr can't find thread, so at risk of repeat : there is a legend, where some nao long-dead sage ( ulam ? ) was in a room where the lesser mortals idly fucked around with q 'how to short bundle of sticks by length' fastest. d00d silently picked up the bundle of sticks and pounded them on table ends-down and then lowered palm onto the top, picking up longest with each move
asciilifeform: bandwidth, contrary to intuition, isn't where 'worx of man' necessarily fall down to the ant, but rather http://btcbase.org/log/2017-07-20#1687613 ☝︎
diana_coman: kk; I'll keep up this approach of published-even-if-stumbling small steps so on one hand there is something concrete to shoot down if needed and on the other hand we can correct any trouble early on, hopefully
asciilifeform: back when i wrote in c, i also serialized/deserialized 'just once', when casting packet to the correct struct, but to precisely nail down the latter required gcc-specific pragmas, as c per se does not give this ability. but in ada the required knobs are standard.
asciilifeform: BingoBoingo: lol, rolling cigs is sumthing even gulag inmates had down to an exact science
BingoBoingo: Hey, down here I am watching the Fat Forehead party realize it doesn't have a activist base anymore in real time.
mircea_popescu: wtf is signing a vpatch than "i sat down to rewrite $author's work and came to his exact text, http://btcbase.org/log/2018-10-12#1860859 style. therefore i undersign." ☝︎
mircea_popescu: in fact, a very solid basis for respect is, "whenever i sit down to rewrite x, i end up writing what he wrote ; whereas whenever i sit down to rewrite y, i end up using empty page. thus therefore x is rated 5 and y -10"
mircea_popescu: even if what you end up writing down is 100% exactly identical to the original, nevertheless IT IS STILL A REWRITE, especially if the original is heathen -- as per "idiots may not have ideas" doctrine. http://trilema.com/2014/pro-idiotas-which-obviously-means-people-who-have-ideas-ie-idiots/#selection-145.129-145.542 and all that.
phf: we're way down the rabbit hole here
asciilifeform: it's actually one of the reasons i haven't ever finished rewrite of phuctor in cl. erry time i sat down to do it, barfed on one of these things
mircea_popescu: ove breaks down all barriers between man and woman; that love is a vase of iron, unbreakable, and not, as it is, a vase of the most delicate and brittle pottery, to be broken to pieces by the least touch of a careless hand. They seem to think that the state of love stands at the end of a great striving; they do not realise that it is only the beginning, and that the striving must never cease, for without striving there is no
BingoBoingo: <asciilifeform> what boggles my mind is that they dun see the plain fact that if yer response to 'oh noez, spam' is to sit down and write missive, you're ddosable with 1 finger << Pretty good measure of social placement. Do you need to filter all comers, or can you reply to spam without surrendering all the time.
mircea_popescu: moreover, the "difference between law and fetish is that law -- universal" immediately breaks down when i don't subscribe. and i can't be excluded, either, because that's the fucking value the whole thing's supposed to be predicated on.
asciilifeform: what boggles my mind is that they dun see the plain fact that if yer response to 'oh noez, spam' is to sit down and write missive, you're ddosable with 1 finger
asciilifeform: so i suspect the actual # of packets ( and time ) req'd , goes down ~geometrically~ with the # of working noades
BingoBoingo: <Mocky> BingoBoingo, this is a short chick, btw, who walks around here alone on a daily basis, with a backpack for 6 years, never gets bothered << I suspect mircea_popescu's comment downthread explains it. A substantial set of the Latinos appear inclined to take anything that isn't bolted down, provided nothing bad happens to them from it.
Mocky: yeah i better tone down the eye makeup
hanbot: I don't think I'ma bother to debug their nonsense, as far as I'm concerned Western Union was never even marginally useful for any purpose I can think of. But obviously they did carefully write down all the details before not doing any work, so I dunno...advanced warning I guess? Not sure how much the shitpile can be relied on.
