chalbersma: I think the real issue then is how much "ummph" does the VPS in question need. I've not had a chance to experiment with the minimum requirements for
ATC or p2pool ontop of
ATC.

ATC is totally not mergeminable, and there are questions over whether pool hosting costs could be justified for:

ATC or with Bitcoin? My understanding is that
ATC is not merge minable.

atc blockchain you may be able to host it on a VPS cheaper.

atc is almost identical it "should work" almost out of the box.

ATC stalled out it was the only pool that was responsive to our rented hash
