asciilifeform: they already went through... 2 ? 3 ? 'default' 'refinance' 'rinse & repeat' cycles ?
a111: 19 results for "refinance", http://btcbase.org/log-search?q=refinance
mircea_popescu: !#s refinance
mod6: Alright, so what do you suggest here? I thought that you were saying, multiple times that we should refinance. This is what I've been thinking about most lately.
mircea_popescu: mod6, generally, if you refinance the old board gets trashed.
mircea_popescu: anyway, be the details as they may : the original http://btcbase.org/log/2018-05-05#1809921 / http://btcbase.org/log/2018-05-05#1809793 discussion was looking at a trip 3x the size ; downsizing it (which seems unavoidably necessary for OP considerations) has the tucked in advantage that you don't specifically need to refinance, if you don't want to. so prolly should discuss in board what discounts do you expect to see pre and ☝︎☝︎
ben_vulpes: i crunched some numbers, and i think it's going to cost around 3 btc to put the production rockchip plant together and get it down south, all based on 4 2U's with 24 rockchippen each, transpo of ~2.5kusd and per-chassis fab costs of ~800usd. i think with the outrageous success of the rockchip pilot plant pizarro's in a *great* spot to refinance per mircea_popescu's suggestion, to provide for the production
decimation: the rest of the show featured idiots with 25k credit card balances trying 'refinance'
asciilifeform: and over here, it even includes photos. for sale ad, or 'refinance', etc
mircea_popescu: banks refinance at about 0.2% anything under .3% is ok but over that is being greedy.
mircea_popescu: kakobrekla of course my only takeaway is that the price is doing pretty well at strangling coinbase. lucky them that they managed a refinance. curious if bitpay announces anything soon.
Fun: I was watching RBK today, chairmain of Russian Commerce Chamber was going on that some russian companies need to refinance tons of mid term debt soon in what I presume usd :) I was thinking here that sounds fishy how come they havent hedged FX risk from the start
The20YearIRCloud: It's a fixed rate credit line, which is nice as we can go out, buy properties, refinance said properties, then just continue to buy more
The20YearIRCloud: The refinance is prime + 2% as a commercial mortgage to our LLC, which is a pretty decent rate. The big benefit compared to just going out and refinancing all the properties at once is that the investors essentially won't see any decreases in the small dividends that they're getting now, only growth.
The20YearIRCloud: Yeah , it's a 100k line of credit @ 5% or so and interest only payments, we use LOC to go out and buy new properties, rehab them then refinance the property to cashout the LOC
ninjashogun: what do you mean on - business insider refinance?
mircea_popescu: ninjashogun a dubious proposition. look at the recent business insider refinance,
altkoin: also falling interest rates allowed business's to constantly refinance lower thereby killing their competiition even if the competition was perfectly viable.
the20year1: Pitch - We buy property, fix it up and rent it out. Then we refinance via low interest loans and move onto new properties. All properties have to have 20% ROI prior to leverage.
jcpham: that i can't refinance
mircea_popescu: because i want to create a refinance market for btc.
mircea_popescu: DeaDTerra did you talk to copumpkin about buying the loan ? i think he was trying to get a refinance business going
