mod6: ya, was thinking that myself. could have been something else weird, but he seemed to update to
V99994 and then been able to get past the issue.
mod6: are you using
V99994 now too?
mod6: this change is pretty trivial. probably will update
V99994 before it comes out (was about to release this weekend). will need to add at least an automated test too. not a big deal.
mod6: So I have made a couple small changes to my V99995, and have put together an output trace of what we were seeing with V99995 and what we now see with the changes made in a possible
V99994 version. Review of this would be nice to validate that the behavior is correct:
http://www.mod6.net/v-99994-trace.txt mod6: hopefully by the end of the month we'll have fourteen new deedbot deps for buildroot placed, a new
V99994 build script, and an offline build script.
mod6: danielpbarron: here's a qq, were you ever able to successfully build bitcoind with the build-bitcoind-
V99994.sh ?

trinque: mod6:
V99994 built just fine
mod6: will update the
V99994 script and start a new test cycle.
mod6: but when it came down to it, she hit another error; her Ubuntu 10.04 test environment doesn't have `sharutils', a package that contains uuencode/uudecode. which is what
V99994 is using to decode the deedified dependencies from deedbot.
hanbot: i had the same problem with
V99994, ftr i suspect it's a user permissions issue as when i try to manually check that sig against the vpatch gpg complains it can't open the file (and that particular patch was just alphabetically first, ergo not special)
a111: Logged on 2016-08-07 19:54 mod6: in reality, we want to test
V99994 and see how that behaves.
hanbot: so mod6 asciilifeform ben_vulpes & etc, i was testing the wrong derned thing (V99995), switching to the

mod6: with the exception that they'll need the URL to the testing version of
V99994 mod6: ;;later tell pete_dushenski wanna help test

mod6: speaking of which; wanna help the foundation test
V99994 of the build script? let me know.
mod6: ah. yeah might still be some changes to come if something doesn't pass the tests. so be prepared for that eventuallity until
V99994 is placed in deedbot.
mod6: So I've updated the forthcoming
V99994 to pull these from deedbot.org as opposed to their respective places out in the tubes.
mod6: so just built
V99994 build script on gentoo, werks good.
mod6: shinohai: im also running the new
V99994 build script with the updated openssl url now actually. as well, the makeflies (the original ones from trinque) work as long as it contains the updates that I put in for the lastest versoin of V.
mod6: I have a new
V99994 in testing as I type this.
