mod6: yup works if i use it like: diff <(./lamport_decode.sh sha256sum pubkey.txt < encoded.txt)
mod6: ah got it.
mod6: does anyone else have this issue running asciilifeform's lamport example diff commands? http://dpaste.com/00VJ9E2.txt
mod6: haha
mod6: PeterL: o7
mod6: "Estimated Value Sent" excludes known change addresses. For example, let's say we have a single transaction where address A sends 1 BTC to address B and also 1 BTC back to address A as change, then only 1 BTC is estimated to have been sent. Proper use of a new change address for each transaction (like all HD wallet implementations) obfuscate this feature.
mod6: and there is a special message there under Estimated Value Sent:
mod6: asciilifeform: huh, weird. looking at block '432901', the first one in the list @ mimisbrunnr that says 'Unable to decode...' is this txn: https://live.blockcypher.com/btc/tx/7affd7cd864678e0ed23a96841c8ef8a76f0df3521a230d94e9d9cf8e1e12dc7/
mod6: <+trinque> because highs transactions would be malleated to lows, and then the wallet wouldn't notice they confirmed << aha. right on.
mod6: ah, yeah could be.
mod6: someone else has seen this issue too, can't remember who. trinque maybe? anyway, yeah, it's some balderdash.
mod6: i'll have to check into it.
mod6: *shrug* no idea.
mod6: well, it'd be interesting to see if it started because of sending a number of high-s txns or something back in Januaray when I was testing that vpatch.
mod6: on that one test node of mine ya
mod6: i did too. haha
mod6: nice!
mod6: sounds like it's resolved now.
mod6: after a closer look on my side, you got that specific error because you were missing: 'bitcoin-asciilifeform.1.vpatch'
mod6: adlai: did you get all of the vpatches then?
mod6: bah, sorry for the redundancy.
mod6: here's the list, that corresponds to the trb-howto.html corresponds to: http://thebitcoin.foundation/v/patches/
mod6: http://dpaste.com/2X6CFM6.txt
mod6: im not sure what you've got going on there adlai, but you're missing a bunch of vpatches
mod6: adlai: can you run `./v.pl f` and wotpaste it?
mod6: what seems to be the problem?
mod6: adlai: what was your question?
mod6: <+mircea_popescu> it's actually a very fine machete. hecho en colombia. << Very cool.
mod6: heheh
mod6: you?
mod6: trinque: good! looks to be a busy week.
mod6: mornin'
mod6: <+mircea_popescu> mod6 four tickets eh ? great month. << ya, thanks!
mod6: shinohai: o7 thank, /you/, Sir.

mod6: asciilifeform: http://dpaste.com/3YP79KE.txt << looks good, thanks for the updates!
mod6: asciilifeform: No vpatches, other than critical ones + the makefiles were considered. There is a blerb in the forthcoming SoBA that we will begin again taking a look at some of these that have been submitted.
mod6: phf: you may want to add the 'makefiles.vpatch' to your patch thingy.
mod6: ok :]
mod6: have a good night
mod6: no prob. just thought i'd report.
mod6: asciilifefor some good news (your seal verifies with your genesis vpatch), and some bad news (your genesis vpatch contains timestamps): http://dpaste.com/2TCT5ND.txt ☟︎
mod6: asciilifeform: hey, cool!
mod6: in mom's attic
mod6: <+asciilifeform> feel free to make'em dump key into phuctor << very cool
mod6: And, clitler looked like the conductor of the band on the deck of the Titanic.
mod6: lels
mod6: 400 lb neckbeards
mod6: lol
mod6: <+pete_dushenski> mod6: tested out your new vpatch over the weekend. worked like a charm! << heeey thanks!
mod6: there it is.
mod6: !!key anond

mod6: http://trilema.com/2014/what-the-wot-is-for-how-it-works-and-how-to-use-it/
mod6: are you familiar with the WoT (web of trust)?
mod6: one non-negitive rating, that is.
mod6: i think what you require, is just to be able /join #trilema, have your key registered with deedbot, and have at least one rating from a Lord.
mod6: participation in this channel encourages reading back at least 6 months from now.
mod6: there's a rich history in the logs dating back to early 2013.
mod6: ah, welcome to it :]
mod6: np. yah, it takes a few times.
mod6: then, if successful, you'll be voiced.
mod6: which consists of getting an encrypted otp from deedbot, derypting it, then feeding the otp back to deedbot with !!v <OTP>
mod6: well, not really. once you are registered, you'll be able to msg deedbot directly and do the !!up command yourself.
mod6: !!up anond
mod6: RAGEQUIT
mod6: lol, what can ya do?
mod6: figure, hours, not minutes.
mod6: after submission of your key, it takes a while for sks to process and index the key so it can be "searchable"
mod6: might be wrong about that. sks sucks.
mod6: iirc placing '0x' infront of the finger print seems to work better?
mod6: or even better, your fingerprint, or keyid.
mod6: either the email address, or 'nickname' or name you placed when making this key.
mod6: at the sks site?
mod6: im actually having a hard time NOT calling that number.
mod6: “So don’t forget to place your orders by calling 1-800-POO-BLOW before supplies run out!”
mod6: lol
mod6: bowel?
mod6: -----END PGP PUBLIC KEY BLOCK-----
mod6: through
mod6: -----BEGIN PGP PUBLIC KEY BLOCK-----
mod6: yup, you need everything from:
mod6: or you can read `man gpg` and look up --send-keys
mod6: https://sks-keyservers.net/i/#submit
mod6: here's a link to copy in your entire key and paste it:
mod6: ok cool.
mod6: you can do that two ways.
mod6: yup, which is fine. just need to submit that entire key to the keyserver.
mod6: yup, nothing wrong with that.
mod6: don't paste your whole key in here pls.
mod6: typically we suggest using version 1.4.x, but that part is entirely up to you.
mod6: don't change what's in the key.
mod6: that is the thing you need to send to the key server.
mod6: yes, ok. good. that is your public key.
mod6: does it say something like "PGP PUBLIC KEY" at the top?
mod6: about all i can do is try to look up your FP in some sks keyserver to see if its there to resolve that dependency.
mod6: maybe check back tomorrow, or later tonight if nothing else.
mod6: ahhh, ok then ya. might take a bit yet.
mod6: and i'll look it up
