BingoBoingo: I'll put up a proposal for pricing the machine portion of monthly rentals in a bit that elaborates on http://btcbase.org/log/2019-06-02#1916868 ☝︎
asciilifeform: for that also. but also gotta make sure the monthly folx get the correct price.

BingoBoingo: asciilifeform: The dulap spare was yet another monthly, that one strictly billed as a colo, which hanbot played with cuntoo and then the subscription was canceled when that experiment was aborted. The S.NSA spare is cold at present.
asciilifeform: this being said, BingoBoingo plox to make sure mircea_popescu is getting the correct price based on the current conversion factor.
asciilifeform: the colo rate is the cheaper.
asciilifeform: the other is a piz box and leased at the lease rate.
a111: Logged on 2019-05-01 19:28 asciilifeform: it is actually the snsa spare , BingoBoingo and asciilifeform were leasing it out to hanbot at colo rate , with mp's permission.
asciilifeform: BingoBoingo: 1 of them is the dulap spare, and goes for colo rate ☝︎
BingoBoingo: Will take a peak today for one more once over on the boxes.
BingoBoingo: asciilifeform: These are both rental boxes for S.MG. One is the production machine. The other leased monthly (formerly cold spare) for diana_coman to do testing and such.

asciilifeform: grr frustrating. BingoBoingo mircea_popescu when either of you wakes up, plox to say which 2 boxes it were.
asciilifeform digs though log, but still not certain which 2 boxes were spoken of. if indeed these 2, then price is diff, cuz dulap is a colo box, owned by snsa, whereas smg is leased box
asciilifeform: BingoBoingo: plox to look again and be sure they were indeed identical tho
asciilifeform: mircea_popescu, BingoBoingo : i can't think of any objection, identical irons , leased over identical interval, oughta cost same

BingoBoingo: mircea_popescu: Let me know what you think of this proposal.
BingoBoingo: In the interest of simplifying things and because you are Mircea Popescu, I am inclined to kick the total down to 0.85 split it over two invoices of 0.425 for each of the two machines and have them both run through June 1st 2020 offering a small percentage discount and roughly a month and a half of time on the production box free.
BingoBoingo: 1700.40 USD @ 5319 USD/BTC = 0.319684151 BTC + 0.1175 BTC (0.235/2) = 0.437184151 BTC for a year of hosting on each box. This would carry the production server to April 18th 2020 and the test server would carry it to June 1st 2020. The two invoices would total 0.874368302 BTC, and the next invoicing on the boxes would be staggered one month apart.
BingoBoingo: In this case since we have identical boxes and divergent prices on the book of 0.23423972 and 0.4 without a USD base price recorded in the statements, I am inclined to take the lower price and round it up to 0.235 to resolve the discrepancy and continue with the pricing exercise. ☟︎

a111: Logged on 2018-02-24 18:39 ben_vulpes: i can give you a pretty steep discount for paying the year up front, but because i'm building out the downline i want to keep the box on the balance sheet. how about a 20% markup on the machine if you pay for the whole year?
BingoBoingo: On one box ben_vulpes sold a sort of harware replacement plan for 20% over the box's book cost. On the other box which was billed monthly, some math unclear math was done and for the lack of a longer term arrangement the billing remained pegged at 0.0578066 BTC. ☝︎☝︎
BingoBoingo: The book prices recorded in the statements for the machines diverges wildly as shown in the April 2018 statement http://pizarroisp.net/2018/05/04/pizarro-statement-april-2018/#selection-1117.0-1205.3 (in the prior March 2018 statement the book value of the first box in Uruguay is recorded as 0.23423972)
