mircea_popescu: jurov they pay
qntra to attend. once they actually get some money together and can afford being in the actual press.
BingoBoingo: <jurov> they won't resist parading and making press statements... can

jurov: they won't resist parading and making press statements... can
qntra send anyone?
jurov: announce:
qntra shares credited to coinbr users who requested it
mircea_popescu: lol
qntra ended up with some buyside out of the deal too.
mircea_popescu: BingoBoingo cazalla going by
https://www.quantcast.com/qntra.net re top sites / audience interests : mebbe it's worth your time to write to pando, silicon angle writers (individually) see if they want to submit a piece for
qntra ?
BingoBoingo: Trilema, and
Qntra look pretty good in xxxterm
davout:

qntra mobile is pretty nice!
mircea_popescu:
qntra and derivatives totally dominates teh discussion.
BingoBoingo: Hey, pete_dushenski You given the new look
Qntra a try?
BingoBoingo: I just can't wait for someone to dig up the shoop in 2 years and be like "
Qntra advertised GAW" which will of course be refuted by the lol'ing here
BingoBoingo: Well, eventually is possible for some levels of eventually. We just need companies to emerge which would find advertising on
qntra an economic proposition.
cazalla: BingoBoingo has made room for adverts on the left/right side of
qntra so we're ready for gaw miners adverts though
BingoBoingo: And
qntra is now VGA friendly-er for readers
BingoBoingo: davout: How is the new
Qntra mobile experience?
BingoBoingo: So who what's to test
qntra's new, more modern CSS?
BingoBoingo: <mircea_popescu> BingoBoingo yeah, you're right.
qntra was a bold step into the darkness, perhaps too bold. trying it with coding is taking a bold ~train trip~ into the wilderness. << Well with
Qntra and prose having editorial controls helps to level the problem. I can not imagine a similar arbiter existing for code.
mircea_popescu: BingoBoingo yeah, you're right.

mircea_popescu:
qntra works very well, at least so far, because everyone's work is fundamentally public, there's no meaning in "writing words' outside of obviously others reading them. so trying to thin out the product as it were is painfully visible and liable to cost whoever does it more than it's worth.
mircea_popescu: ben_vulpes: i've been batting around the notion of a
qntra-style stock pool, where stock in the operation would be issued in direct proportion to hours clocked on the project. << risky if it ends up promoting clockpainting.

mircea_popescu: coderwill yes, that and the frankness are the predicates of this place, and why it works, and why
qntra will sink gawker and so on.
danielpbarron: hopefully with a box full of cardanos and a

cazalla: ;;rate rozal -10 alleged that i stole bitcoin from him, fabricated logs and confessed to doing so, avoid at all costs - my logs here
http://qntra.net/rozal.txt BingoBoingo: mircea_popescu: If Matonis is more comfortable tweeting
qntra articles and hanging around the margins, he knows the invite is out there. As much as the Vessennes episode seemed to burn him I can not fault him if he wants to take some time before committing to allegiances in the future. Especially since being older, but not yet a codger he likely has ropes to contend with.
BingoBoingo anticipates though a Matonis submits a piece to
qntra BitBet would fall in the BadBets pile.
BingoBoingo: <mircea_popescu> or should someone aspiring to
qntra publishing do it instead ? << leaning towards this, but if interest isn't expressed soon I'll take a break from current writing to do it quickly.
mircea_popescu: or should someone aspiring to
qntra publishing do it instead ?
BingoBoingo: pete_dushenski: Anyway the GAW story was one of the first cazalla used to propel
qntra to relevance. Like in the BFL case Ars is going to have to accept they abided a thing until their declaration of scam was entirely irrelevant.
mircea_popescu: anyway, still great article, hitting the mark.
qntra can only go to moon from here.
Apocalyptic: mircea, nope. Maybe some
qntra writers will find it worth an article
BingoBoingo: mircea_popescu: Latest
qntra piece I took the opportunity to empty the venom sacks a bit on new Derpolis. Pete apparently leik'd it.
BingoBoingo: thestringpuller: Sometimes fresh
qntra pieces don't have it right away, this one has it now though.
thestringpuller: not a big deal just have to scroll to see other pieces on
qntra front page
