Framedragger: never read discourse on the method, does it take his circular "method" to the next level there? :p
Framedragger: mircea_popescu: heh. yeah, fuck the web, truly.
Framedragger: with irc logs it's easy as selection is rather 'discrete' (one line separate from another). in blog, it's a bunch of text, so more difficult
Framedragger: mircea_popescu: i sorta like the idea of avoiding js here if only because that way backend actually gets to know what is select, and can do things about it (including being able to assign a label to that block, to be stored elsewhere (later)); those '#' anchors are not sent to server. buut arbitrary realtime selection is pretty neat, i'll check it later..
Framedragger: this thing - you can select a timestamp first time, it'll reload anchored and with from: set; then when you select another timestamp, it'll add to: to the url, resulting in a range with proper permalink'y url
Framedragger: ah. yeah i've seen that. dang, should have thought of that
Framedragger: ahh. well, you can, but by clicking multiple times
Framedragger: look it's an afternoon php hack, no js on purpose tho
Framedragger: some other stuff is written in lisp afaiui. but maybe deedbot rewritten in lisp since then?
Framedragger: i think connection to bouncer on that host (which is where the logs come from) is rather stable, so good for redundancy and whatnot
Framedragger: mircea_popescu: asciilifeform: for my own purposes / as backup, wrote myself a real shitty and simplistic log viewer thingie just now:
http://log.mkj.lt/trilema/ - may be useful as backup etc.
Framedragger: [21:39:35] <mircea_popescu> Framedragger ironically, that was in the log :D << oh.. damn! >.<
Framedragger: mircea_popescu: need to read logs, then. so what's the idea behind him needing paper trail, and what does that mean?
Framedragger: i can certainly see it! as in, intentional project and everything.
Framedragger: ..and i wonder about trump and teh republicans
Framedragger: am at work, there's someone openly swearing about boris johnson downstairs (it's usually rather quiet)
Framedragger: oh yeah, i'm sure there's that sentiment, prevailing
Framedragger: well this woman deserves nothing but the basement treatment, so!
Framedragger: i wonder. in times of uncertainty, investors move money elsewhere. say eu continues to crumble down, with states threatening to leave / leaving, euro going down. could gbp be eventually seen as a "foreign stable thing" in europe? my bets are that it won't; but it'd be a curious outcome
Framedragger: yeah i don't know how to classify "general b2b stuff"
Framedragger: it really is all about the germans now and what they do, i suppose, yeah. i wouldn't think that taxing london is *that* important though, and in any regard uk trading with eu is more important to uk than to eu, it would appear. but sure, shit's gonna go down, will be interesting to follow.
Framedragger: and yeah, all the bilateral agreements to be done.. by whom.. fuck knows. (my plan was to switch countries in a ~year anyway, looks like i'll stick to it)
Framedragger: yeah no more internets with her, not that uk currently has an uncensored open internet
Framedragger: heh irc client crashed, maybe with the mention of theresa's name
Framedragger: yeah it's gonna be fucked. also some more shite PM instead of cameron
Framedragger: mircea_popescu: i hope (for personal reasons) GBP rebounds to some extent in the days/weeks to come. also looking forward to independent scotland now :)
Framedragger off to bed, looking forward to breakfast in unclear political territory (well when was it ever clear)
Framedragger: that's your shit right there. and some ads. on the shit
Framedragger: heheheh. some kind of insecurity of "no don't leave our site, look we collected your shit for you!"
Framedragger: orly, but it used to be able to, no? that's what every shitsite wants, for search engines to index, but not to show same stuff to unregistered visitors (linkedin does that with google vs. users i think..)
Framedragger: my imagination is dry in regards to what interesting things uk could do. maybe uk is simply that glib and uninspiring
Framedragger: yeah i wonder what imperial rule would do there huh
Framedragger: no see they'll renegotiate a better ttip deal, all by themselves
Framedragger: soo "pound drops after sunderland result", yeah heh

Framedragger: "i should think better about where i live, next time"

Framedragger: could have been multiple instances of cleansing, unknown, i guess
Framedragger: don't get your hopes of grandeur up folks, the timeline may simply fit
Framedragger: mircea_popescu: ACK, and that is cool. i do understand re. master actually working *against* learned helplessness models, at least an *actual* master anyway hm
Framedragger: mircea_popescu: sure.. well hm, i can see what you mean; dunno if example is sound, but i prob know even less about pastry heh
Framedragger: asciilifeform: it throws 1 result which is when you searched for it, now..
Framedragger: i mean you do sometimes want case sensitivity yknow; i guess question's regarding the default
