mod6: I'd also like to buy five for personal use.
mod6 is drinking a bottle of water after snow-removal. am quite stunned it doesn't say "Gluten Free" on the bottle.
mod6: brb, gotta remove the snow here quick.
mod6: But, not impossible. I'm not sure, maybe someone else has better ideas how to handle this.
mod6: I was thinking lsat night about my version of V in Ada, and am using shellouts there for the gpg related things. even with an integrated FFA, still need to add in an integrated Keccac from s.mg - those two I can work around. Others might be harder than it sounds.
☟︎ mod6: <+mircea_popescu> something like "shellouts marked for extinction anyway, no point building on them" ? << and this, yes.
mod6: Well... I'm worried that if start to try to pin down all of the versions and their hashes, it just adds a bunch of complexity.
mod6: I've gotta go snow blow this 8" of snow. Will think on it a bit.
mod6: mircea_popescu: I see your point re-hashes, might be something to consider in the future. Been avoiding painting myself into a corner with the prototype.
mod6: huh. did everything press ok?
mod6: over-thought that WAY too much
mod6: ohhh 'un-ideal'. gotcha. was thinking "what does unideal mean?!"
mod6: mircea_popescu: ah, ok.
mod6: also to go along with pizarro's hardware, etc.
mod6: republic needs its own os.
mod6: Sure, let's circle back around, I'll send what i've got. others can send theirs too.
mod6: Not sure of those are altogether interesting. But if they are, can throw them somewhere for review.
mod6: Alright, noted. I'm basically using some generics + one that has broadcomm support.
mod6: I'd love to see others step up and work through that as well.
mod6: yup, i recall. thanks for posting that. I need to go through the steps myself. maybe can do here in the next couple of weeks.
mod6: trinque: (and others) let's circle back around and catch up cuntoo sometime in early march.
mod6: hey spyked, thanks for testing & the report back.
mod6: Loren: That's the best approach, happy to see that. Stop back if you have Q's.
mod6: Thanks for testing shinohai. Very useful work.
mod6: Lords and Ladies of TMSR~, I am happy to announce the release of my V : version 99993 K. The tarball has been posted to the website
http://thebitcoin.foundation : Also, take note, the trb-howto guide linked on The Foundation website has also been updated.
mod6: jurov: I sent an email to the ML, but isn't showing up. I can confirm that the clearsigned data verifies on my end.
mod6: That may make it satisfactory.
mod6: 3) Pizarro to signoff on 2U reserved for The Foundation.
mod6: I suppose, if we could get the following commitments: 1) Someone in L1 (L2?) to source two new machines [with equiv specs] for The Foundation, delivered to ben_vulpes March 31st. 2) A delivery plan for these two new machines to Pizaroo in .uy.
mod6: I think the foundation should avoid this sale.
mod6: The goal for the Foundation is to get 2, 1U rack spaces for machines to host trb + webhost/mirror.
mod6: Feels like it'd be hairy. Although, I can see the possible necessity. If I can be convinced that the accounting will be simple and straightforward for the public, I'll consider it more.
mod6: There may be some accounting considerations.
mod6: Well, first off, those are The Foundation's assets.
mod6: hue. he went to jared.
mod6: then it dawned on me.
mod6: this time i was like "WAT?!", but then i was like "ok, MOST of the time this thing is correct if it's complaining, I must have did something wrong... but what could it be?!"
mod6: Ah crap. Disregard this ^ -- I screwed up and created a detached sig of the charter.txt proper, not the vpatch. hurr durr.
mod6: Doin well! Combing through this charter.
mod6: that's not too bad. bout an hour drive eh?
mod6: Anyway, phf did a quick change. It's all good now:
mod6: alright! My bad before, that problem wasn't an "error" proper, it was a Warning, a Warning in 'error.c'. If I'd read more carefully I'd probably have noticed.
mod6: again, uber simple, i encourage everyone out there to test with wider testcases ofc.
mod6: fwiw I used that binary produced, even with the error, to test and see if it would yield the same vdiff as the original would, and so far, looks like it works just the same as printed on the box. I don't have as good of a test case as hanbot will have tho. Mine was very basic.
mod6: Right now, it's 7 here.
mod6: speaking of time waits for no one.
mod6: guess it was a long time ago.
mod6: wow, reading that old log... B.VPS was still trading..

mod6: <+shinohai> Did you have a Big blue Ox too? << would have been better to ride an ox than fight through all the Tucson stoplights. But, no, sadly.
mod6: Anyway, sorry for that trip down amnesia lane.
mod6: Ah, that was a different cover. I guess in 2009 it was "Person of the Year". Seriously. Person. Of. The. Year.
mod6: The Bernak had just bailed out the banks. I remember some Time Magazine cover "The Hero." Or some such nonsense, scary stuff.
mod6: I had remembered reading about that in there, probably in like 99 or 2000. This was eight years later. I knew though, once it was a thing, then I had to get involved.
mod6: Probably about that same time infact.
