mod6: I have that part figured out, I even had mine running. but it was only a /dynamically/ linked build. The part I need to still sort out is a staically linked build.
mod6: It requires a subtle patch to the code.
mod6: <+thestringpuller> freeborn: I'm pretty sure mod6 has gotten it working on OpenBSD. << Hi freeborn, yup, OpenBSD is on def. at the top of our list of platforms to support. I made good progress on this in February, but got a little side-tracked in March with the release. Stay tuned to the mailing list (btc-dev), any advancements in this realm will be updated there.

mod6: what debian? (we test on deb6)
mod6: oh thanks danielpbarron
mod6: so it turns out that debian didn't need the -nodnsseed flag, but gentoo did just like you ran into with ubuntu, i wanna make a comment on that in the address perhaps.
mod6: yikes that paste expires in 1 day lol. thanks though funkenstein_, I'll save it locally so i've got it.
mod6: nubbins`: np. i think it's just good to get it in the list for now. later we can take it, massage whatever is needed and get it into a proper patch and test it.
mod6: shows send/recieve on the 64 bit static binary
mod6: here it is funkenstein_: http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=ny9m6Q3R
mod6: (i have a recent one, but not on this machine atm)
mod6: yeah, tested send/recieve. lemme see if I can find you a link.
mod6: i was thinking about including some of that info in the monthly address.
mod6: do you still have the link to the pastebin stuff you gave me for your ubuntu build?
mod6: can you do me a favor?
mod6: <+funkenstein_> anybody sync a 0.5.3.1 node yet? << i have a lot of times, probably at least 15 times since october. but... not a pogo. just the R.I. on a linux install.

mod6: huh, the statically linked binary is between 5.6 and 5.2mb. On my x86_64 builds it was often around 5.6mb. i just pulled up my paste from the debian x86_32 bit build (http://dpaste.com/1YQR1W7), here's 5.2mb. and yesterday on gentoo x86_32 it was 5.6mb.
mod6: <+mircea_popescu> mod6 ben_vulpes think a <27mb bitcoin could be ? << the current statically linked bitcoind is 5.6mb is that what you mean?
mod6: haha
mod6: see, just thought i'd ask.
mod6: gotcha.
mod6: ah, ok. derp.
mod6: ok. so we won't sign transactions then
mod6: so what is bitcoind supposed to do?
mod6: ok, maybe i don't understand. but im gonna ask anyway. but what you're saying is that the pogo embedded os wont have a rng?
mod6: oh startswith P. i know who it is. that's awesome!
mod6: ah, cool
mod6: I heard they're gonna be playing up here. gotta try to catch 'em.
mod6: Do you consider Strung Out to be a punk band?
mod6: what about Fugazi. Or the Melvins? Everyone knows them, they're still punk(tm)
mod6: <+nubbins`> may have a job printing posters for big-name punk band :0 << anyone i'd know?
mod6: jeeze
mod6: thanks jurov
mod6: yeah, agree. it doesn't need that functionallity yet.
mod6: ok
mod6: haha
mod6: ;;later tell jurov did you see any weirdness from Mailman regarding nubbins`'s OSX clearsigned message on 2015.03.26?
mod6: ok sweet.
mod6: no problem. thanks for putting the work in there and getting that going!
mod6: aight, we'll give it a day.
mod6: Maybe we can get jurov to take a peek. If not, post your clearsigned message to pastebin and maybe I can clearsign your clearsigned message and send it myself.
mod6: I don't see it in there, but the mailatronic has been known to snarf messages at will.
mod6: Yes, Sir.
mod6: i was just hoping for before 31st of march. :]
mod6: ah, no worries, this can wait until later, days or weeks if needed.
mod6: yeah, changekey should do it. but don't listen to me. i r dumb. ask kako to make sure.
mod6: i don't think you can rate yourself.
mod6: !help
mod6: It'd be nice to have it in there anyway, signed by yourself. And then I can mention it in this months address as well.
mod6: anyway, thanks in advance.
mod6: well, so the saying goes :]
mod6: ah, ok. best day to do that is today.
mod6: ok

mod6: Hey nubbins`: if you're not signed up to the btc-dev list, now is not a horrible time. You wouldn't mind sending your OSX steps there (in a clearsigned message) would you?
