mod6: <+punkman> did anyone try musl yet? << yeah, check out ascii's comments from yesterday
mod6: <+punkman> mod6, debug_sanity perhaps? << maybe.
mod6: One of my goals for this week (and I'm running a bit behind) was to create a test matrix for everything that needs to be tested for this forthcoming release. I hope to at least get a start on that here today yet.
mod6: As far as testing, so far everything seems to be working ok -- i've fully sync'd 1 stator build, and i've got 2 more full sync's running curretly: one gentoo x86-64 w/glibc & one OpenBSD x86-64 w/glibc
mod6: <+mircea_popescu> mod6 so what's the plan, turning stator into a release ? << Yeah. I believe 'stator' + { eat/dump block, rm testnet & verifyall } should be the 5.4 release unless anything additional is submitted before we can finish testing & bundling release. ☟︎☟︎
mod6: next they'll sell us a toothbrush that doubles as a jackhammer. won't need to prop up the dental insurance companies any more, no one will have any more cavity laden teeth.
mod6: mircea_popescu: wifi antennas
mod6: <+ben_vulpes> decimation: and security! << at lesat you can easily rip out the shit you don't want. as opposed to debate weather or not to get rid of the screen.
mod6: cell phones that last longer than 8 hours.
mod6: i'll give one a try as soon as it's built and ready to test.
mod6: *nod*
mod6: how hard is gonna be to do a new buildroot for this one?
mod6: asciilifeform: very cool.
mod6: sure, but about same cost as pogo?
mod6: ah. ok. looks like this one im looking at on google is $13.46 is that about what the cost is?
mod6: (is this like a google tv-like thing?)
mod6: ok so you use this miracast thing and you link up a 500gb usb drive, good to go?
mod6: when we were at the bazzar there was a bunch of neat trinkets
mod6: he has a eye for antique stuff.
mod6: i like how ascii has the oldest looking deck of cards i've seen.
mod6: im sayin'!
mod6: so now i have to fill up a plastic/glass cup and then throw it in there from a distance.
mod6: i've got a wide mouth USG pos that would light my damn balls on fire in the process.
mod6: what's also obnoxious about it, is now i cant easily pour gas on my fire like a normal person.
mod6: oh ya
mod6: typicall usg: take something that works perfectly well and then wreck the goddamnthing
mod6: really?
mod6: but fuck 'em
mod6: and it is true, i spill much more gas pouring it out of the open mouth without shitsucker nozzle into a funnel with no goddamn breather hole.
mod6: my favorite: "So for the last three years, you have not been able to buy gas cans that work properly. ..."
mod6: bah, i've lived in one of the hottest places in the world. sure, the cans get bloated a bit. just don't stick your face 1" from the thing when opening the lid. simple.
mod6: haha
mod6: http://trilema.com/2014/spy-stuff
mod6: melt with blowtorch
mod6: ah, suppose not.
mod6: tomato bath
mod6: this channel is awesome
mod6: that's so much better.
mod6: here it's called `weed wacker' or 'weed whip'
mod6: `whipper snipper' that's fantasic. im gonna call it that from now on.
mod6: wow. that's different.
mod6: i was so mad. the girl didn't want to talk to me for 20 minutes because she said was laughing like i was insane.
mod6: the first one i ever used i snapped the fucker while trying to unlock it...
mod6: yeah, eco can. im not the only one, search "new gas can sucks"
mod6: this is what i really want: www.hearth.com/talk/attachments/img_0736-jpg.72703/
mod6: maybe i dreamed it
mod6: i feel like i've said all this before in here too, then jurov linked me to something lol.
mod6: ah, you know, just searching for it... looks like i can by a non-retarded gascan online easy enough.
mod6: this is the spout: i.ytimg.com/vi/nytxlA-G1Sk/maxresdefault.jpg
mod6: srsly.what.in.the.fuck.is.happening.net
mod6: Nope.
mod6: Oh and did I mention there's no rear breather hole to let the stream pour smoothly?
mod6: haha, "Welcome to socialism! Here's this new gas can to save your retard children from drinking it while you're off doing important things."
mod6: </rant>
mod6: It drives me nuts, because I can't find a regular old-school (even a plastic one with a normal pour spout) to save my life. Might have to check at garage sales or something. All major stores only carry Soviet Gas can.
mod6: <+ascii_field> in usa everyone uses either the red plastic bottles, or goes to antique shop and buys nazi 'jerry can' << at some point in the last 6+ years, the USSA standardized the can. Now it seems you can only by 1 standard type of red-plastic gas can. And the f'ing pour spout does not work. It is a worthless pile of shit. It makes you twist and unlock it or some crazy shit. Now, I just throw the spout away, and pour through a funnel fro

mod6: ones at 294k and the other... 158k
mod6: im running it on two seperate envs now actually.
mod6: <+trinque> if so it's gonna need bitchin ascii art like the foundation site. << Hear, hear.
mod6: but yea, was able to build stator as fully static, thanks to ascii_field's cuts from the source.
mod6: nice ascii_field!
mod6: [block 364`672]
mod6: ah, ok so looking at http://dpaste.com/2J1JRCR.txt again, we can def. note that it's a v3 block and that's not just some garbage in there.
mod6: just thought it was worth mentioning that i found it in the MessageHeader with tcpdump.
mod6: ok, ftr, this is from nsl's node with -verifyall on.
mod6: so dumping the first four blocks with `dumpblock' into each their own .bin files, then using xxd and shovling them all into one file, here's the result: http://dpaste.com/1B1H1PC.txt
mod6: then is dump block not including it?
mod6: just in the message header
mod6: (in the block itself)
mod6: i don't see the bytes in any order.
mod6: http://dpaste.com/3A4FHKE.txt
mod6: which i thought was kinda weird, so i looked at the code again. This is a part of CMessageHeader, used in ProcessMessage -- so I ran a tcpdump while syncing:
mod6: and i never did find that magic number in there: 0xf9, 0xbe, 0xb4, 0xd9
mod6: so I dumped a few blocks 0, 1, 2, 199`999, etc.
