That is really coming home to people today as they ran around negotiating large puts and calls to try to prevent a tipping point that could trigger panic selling if they don't get enough, and the right, puts and calls worked out and in place

knotwork: easy apps to handle options maybe could have helped there, for example maybe if lots of options had been available for people to secure themselves a peak price for a few months so they need not panic...

knotwork: a significant amount of secure debt was sniped today while everyone was already worried about skyrockets, massive players in the secured debt arena finally realised all their debtors would be sniped if they didn't cut their rates across the board, and everything wobbled

knotwork: everyone is running around trying to work out options bundles tht they hope can prevent the flattening out of the curves from turning into an actual downtick

knotwork: the secure interest rates of course are also key in many.most (all?) options pricing schemes so its hectic, then all the options will all have to be manually adminitered too

knotwork: when i said "arbitrary assets" I meant quite arbitrary. I have created several plots now, showing things in terms of different assets like wht does it look like if you think in litecoin, what does it look like if you think in devcoin, wht does it look like if you think in bitcoin etc

knotwork: basically look at the [PLOT] links off of http://galaxies.mygamesonline.org/digitalisassets.html and if you understand logarithmic scale charts you will see plenty of skyrockets

knotwork: i had to change all the plots to use logarithmic scale because otherwise all the tiny valued assets tended to vanish into the y-axis on the bottom, using log for X lets you see the tiny stuff as well as the skyrocketed stuff

knotwork: sorry i mixed up x and y axes, its y that is log, x is time

knotwork: well those smooth lines on the plots are of course the folks mostly valued by their compound interest deals theey have/had

knotwork: those are the ones having the interest rates crunch, so they are thinking hey maybe we can set up safe options, where we sell options to make a secure income on our heaps of this and that

knotwork: so pick any pair of this and that you have plenty of on hand and can no longer get as high interest on by loaning it

knotwork: and look into whether selling options both ways on such pairs you can earn as much as you had been making by loaning

knotwork: basically its like hey I have two things I can sell, but maybe if I sell people the option to buy one or to sell me (at les than i sell it of course) one, i can make money on my inventory without even necesaarily selling it

knotwork: and if i do sell some of it, well it was looking like something might have to be sold anyway so what the heck

knotwork: ahh finally the latest sets of numbers are complete and i can plot new plots

knotwork: log scale makes the skyrockets look so un-dramatic! its almost worth not being able to see the low valued assets on non-log scale jsut so you can see how exciting the skyrockets were really looking
