danielpbarron: the
truth of
the Bible is universally known;
to call it uninteresting is
to make a fool of yourself
mircea_popescu: meanwhile some hurr about moses or abraham or whatever...
these aren't somebodies.
they're nobodies, did nothing, contributed nothing, i care about as much as
to what abraham spawned out of which women as i care whether obama's ugly mother spit him out a week before or a week after
they left kenya city harbor.
mircea_popescu: and not even gossip is all made
the same. when i drop
http://btcbase.org/log/2018-12-04#1878182 it falls like a bomb because biographic minutia and "then he said"s of newton and
taylor are still interesting --
these are somebodies, people who described actual, verifiable properties of defined abstracts, and so people marginally care whether
they
took showers or baths and so on.
☝︎ mircea_popescu: i suppose
the problem could be stated as "yes, sex is universally interesting, being a fundamental human behaviour ; whereas religion is universally uninteresting, being fundamentally indistinguishable from gossip."
danielpbarron: is it really so much different
than sending messages on kinky dating sites?
danielpbarron: the Word is
to be preached in all places, be it on
the street or on
twitter. And afterwards, it makes for blog content.
danielpbarron: i would be
taken up in
the rapture before
then, hopefully
trinque: pats danielpbarron on
the back for his
twitter posts?
danielpbarron: next would be, Christ rules
the earth for one
thousand years
trinque: danielpbarron: here's a question. on
the glorious day after everyone on
twitter agrees, falls before lord jesus, etc., what next?
trinque: any projects other
than getting blocked by derps on
twitter?
danielpbarron: for one, it shows how "offensive language" can be a barrier
to spreading
the
truth. additionally, it exposes
that guy in particular as being a false christian
trinque: couple of old women
talking about who said
the bad?
trinque: on
the subject of struggles
to emulate stupid, danielpbarron I can't imagine what
this post is meant
to convey.
nicoleci: not always great
to do
the unbelievable
nicoleci: mircea_popescu, no sorry just
taking it all in
mircea_popescu: in fact, vice-versa, been
trying
to hire artists for half a decade.
mircea_popescu: yeah but i mean, it's not like i have
tons of art looking for ways
to ease public consumption
thereof.
mircea_popescu: eulora very
thought-based,
there's bots
there's
things.
mircea_popescu: in fact, if
trilema
the blog is dedicated
to anything as a literary exercise, it would be very plainly "there's no such
thing as gists".
mircea_popescu: there's no such
thing as a "gist" anyway, not anymore
than "niche" or "equality" or any other of a grosse pantsuit manic moronicities.
mircea_popescu: this is a very broken approach
to writing --
thoughts have
to flow from one another, in a constructed, harmonious whole. you're supposed
to delineate
the relations as well as
the "gists".
mircea_popescu: and
thank
the good fellows,
they've saved me! it
turns out your problem is
that you're
trying
to "select
the gist" of your
thoughts, and paste it in.
a111: Logged on 2018-12-10 00:39 mircea_popescu: in other lulz,
the chick's something else. she loses like 40-50 iq points in writing. orally she's almost promising ;
then she decides she's gonna write up an article, has a pretty decent idea for one, gets
to work and what comes out is barely fit for jr high. i've never seen anything like
this before.
trinque: thing's full of
the 'gist' of whichever
thoughts she had all lined up in head
mircea_popescu: trinque all
they fucking do all day is write, you kidding me ?
they work in an office, what else is
there
to do in an office besides writing ?
trinque: asciilifeform: can find girl who was never forced
to write anything in any city in USA
trinque: danielpbarron: don't you have nothing
to do over a case of coors somewhere?
mircea_popescu: boys nothing,
there's
this 40something moron with a collection of "slaves" ie confused girlies on xanax, and so on. heck, danielpbarron is saving her also, apparently.
trinque: mircea_popescu:
this really adds
to
the lulz re chorus of bois begging her
to say
they aren't inadequate.
mircea_popescu: in other lulz,
the chick's something else. she loses like 40-50 iq points in writing. orally she's almost promising ;

☟︎ lobbesbot: asciilifeform:
The operation succeeded.
mircea_popescu: it should not be possible for a mp-wp correctly installed
to display
the (()) part
mircea_popescu: asciilifeform
there's
these unicorns, "liberal professions". supposedly exist in some circumstances
that nobody yet encountered.
mircea_popescu: asciilifeform chick doesn't read code or understand anything. she just sed 's/x/y/g' 's and
that's it.
mircea_popescu: ro has
this habit of recycling
the apparatus under diff names, ~same bs as in us but gets a new name every 5ish years.
mircea_popescu: asciilifeform psd and pdl,
the
two major political parties at
the
time
a111: Logged on 2018-12-09 06:01 mircea_popescu: yes, he can apply
to boss man
to be moved from silverware detail
to apendicitis
tickling, or vice-versa,
to cotton pickin'. but as long as
there's
the
three ring binder, servile profession stays servile profession, and not calling it slavery's exactly like calling
the guatemalan sinkhole in your livingroom "my girlfriend".
the calling dun change nothing.
a111: Logged on 2018-12-08 16:22 mircea_popescu: possibly it's
the actual substance of gender identity, "when girls do x i find it
tolerable, when bois do it i find it unbearable" "so you're male ?"
trinque: ah right, no worries.
thanks for your
testing.
diana_coman: but speedup option is actually good
to know anyway
diana_coman: it's more
that I'll be away in a few hours anyway and
then it's night here so it may as well just run fully until
tomorrow morning
trinque: can speed
things up by copying /cuntoo/packages/*
to
the packages folder in
the bootstrapper dir
diana_coman: will do and report back when it finishes - probably I get
to see it in ~12 hours from now
though
☟︎ diana_coman: trinque, yes, I seem
to have a bootable drive at
the end of it but empty .vpatch file; where exactly should I add
the -x?
trinque: looks like you did receive a bootable drive
though, just no vpatch?
trinque: I'll re-run on my end as well and confirm
that I get
the same results I did last
time.
trinque: the empty dirs are weird indeed. I
think -x at
the
top of
that script will
tell us more, if you would be so kind.
trinque: I roll
through all other block devices but
the
target one and explicitly
tell lilo not
to fuck with
them.
trinque: diana_coman: it's saying
that lilo was instructed *not*
to write
to sda
diana_coman: also, why does it
try
to write
to read-only stuff on /dev/sda or what am I failing
to understand
there?
diana_coman: so I
think it wasn't just a warning really
a111: Logged on 2018-12-09 09:36 diana_coman:
trinque, running
the cuntoo script as root on Gentoo laptop with ./bootstrap.sh -k config/4.9.95-apu2 -d /dev/sdb where
the laptop's own system is on /dev/sda and
that /dev/sdb is an external drive connected via USB; all
the partitioning+compilations seem
to work fine but at
the end
the make_portage_tree script fails for lack of stuff and looking a bit higher up in
the output I get
this:
http://p.bvulpes.com/pastes/Mbkqu/?raw=true trinque:
http://btcbase.org/log/2018-12-09#1879137 <<
the warnings from cp are expected. I'm copying just files, not dirs (perhaps
there's a way
to suppress
this warning?). If
the script stopped at
this point for you, I'd be curious what adding -x
to
the shebang at
top
tells us.
☝︎ mircea_popescu: Mr. Beam Friday, 25 November 2016 '"Used on blogging sites, mostly
Tumblr, is an expression
that denotes so many emotional responses
that
the user cant even comprehend what has been said or seen. " << Wrong. Intel first introduced a line of Pentriums
that couldn't even.' Mircea Popescu 'I
thought
the Intels couldn't odd.'
mircea_popescu: ahahah
teh fucking comments. who was mr beam anyways ?!
mircea_popescu: BingoBoingo do you perchance recall which
trilema piece explained why and wherefore politeness is a social bad (inflates away
the value system) ?
BingoBoingo: Really, its a whole pile of WTFs all
the way down
mircea_popescu: they're so lulzy,
these schmucks. srsly now, if i wanted
to play with six year old girls i'd have stayed six years old. who
the fuck ever does ?!
