mod6: We will still need to increase your overall $1800 per month (or whatever it is, so you can have pants and shoes, etc.), and an apartment was in the discussion as well.
mod6: Yeah, #2, and #3 are not a part of the 7500 total.
mod6: ben_vulpes: help me out here.
mod6: I don't follow.
mod6: Sorry?
mod6: That sound ok for ya?
mod6: I think 5000 now is what I'm willing to do, payable in btc, and then the next 2500 (also payable in btc) September 1st.
mod6: Ok understood.
mod6: We've been handling things like dentist/doctor up until now right? Or have you been paying for that out of pocket?
mod6: Would that work for ya BingoBoingo? ben_vulpes ? asciilifeform ?
mod6: I would like the draw this out a bit, instead of a big lumpsum payment now.
mod6: That should give you some cash to work with, and allow us to not have to crush our immediate cash position on the balance sheet.
mod6: How about this. $7500, payable in BTC monthly, over the next 9 months?
mod6: As far as the 8000 now, this really cuts into our available cash flow. Aside from the plainly stated fact that we then also, aside from paying bills, need to figure out how to translate another ~1 BTC in to USD and then have someone wire/WU it down to you.
mod6: Here's the problem. We obviously need you / want you to stay. I'm told you've been doing a good job there. We have limited money at this time, as obviously, we just got into business here; and we're still trying to figure out how to get to break-even. I think the 1 BTC at the end of next february is something we can do for ya.
mod6: And furthermore, this raise does not include whatever expenses you would require to get an apartment in .uy, correct?
mod6: BingoBoingo: The raise you propse is 1 BTC at end of February of 2019, and ~8k USD now right?
mod6: Alright, since this keeps pressing here...
mod6: no
mod6: damn kvm keeps gettin me.
mod6: goddamnit
mod6: qwX19@^8vFg
mod6: night!
mod6: I better get some zzzs. We can pick it back up tomorrow.
mod6: Yeah, the commitment is there.
mod6: Rightly so.
mod6: We just need to keep pressing, not a moment to lose, as mircea_popescu keeps reminding us.
mod6: I think ben_vulpes is doing a very good job with all that he has coming at him, BingoBoingo and asciilifeform too. I don't want to replace anyone. Time is a luxury that we don't have. However, for a moment, if we step back and look at what we've accomplished so far, I think it's something to be proud of.
mod6: We gotta get that going, mircea_popescu worries for us. I know he wants to see this succeed.
mod6: Sales.
mod6: We have a variety of urgent matters to address. As soon as we get the additional money in place, we can get the new rockchips going. Give BingoBoingo a raise (& new digs?).
mod6: If I may, I think there's always room for improvement, and such critiques are good, help us to get better.
mod6: ah, yeah. Just trying to sort out the finer points I believe.
mod6 re-reads
mod6: Hm? I think that's what we're just trying to figure out. ☟︎
mod6: mircea_popescu: Ok good deal there.
mod6: Ah, solid point.
mod6: If my scenario, or anything is not clear, just say, will try to formalize better. I think it may be more agreeable if asciilifeform and mod6 hold the same mount of stock. Alternatively, both of us could just take convertable bonds.
mod6: This is something that would be figured out at some later date (the conversion rate). However, can Pizarro issue bonds just to me? Or does there need to be a tranche of them offered otherwise?
mod6: http://btcbase.org/log/2018-02-18#1784757 ☝︎
mod6: l:
mod6: For instance, let us use a scenario such as: asciilifeform puts in X BTC, mod6 matches alf's X BTC (where X <= 5), can this be created as stock then? In this scenario 500`000 shares would be assigned to alf & mod6 alike. In the circumstance I would put in (10 - X) more BTC, this could be assigned to me as "convertable bonds". I've been revisiting our conversation from a while back on the Pricing of Capita
mod6: Have been thinking about the refinancing, revisiting some old logs. Wondering if mircea_popescu would be willing to educate me a bit, and entertain a few possible scenarios.
mod6: I'll check back, bbs: meat.
mod6: ben_vulpes: but overall, I agree, sooner is better than later.
mod6: Any, regardless of other struggles, I'm rather flexible!
mod6: I guess, it may all be moot if we can't easily convert the BTC->USD to pay ze bills.
mod6: I think we could maybe get it done by end of May. However, we have two other things that need primary focus (others may disagree) at the moment. We need to pay bills, and we need BTC->USD interface.
mod6: Oh!? Congrats phf!
mod6: We need to pay billz :D
mod6: Yeah.
mod6: mornin ben_vulpes
mod6: mod6 can make up the difference if required (I believe).
mod6: I'm fine to do another round of at least 5 (maybe more) -- but I was under the impression that asciilifeform was sort-of nearly btc-tapped out. But I didn't want to presume anything.
mod6: :]
mod6: But, yeah, we're trying to figure out what makes sense here.
mod6: <+mircea_popescu> or does mod6 do 20 you do 5 and you're ballooned out ? :D << This is a possibility. Although, I'm not sure I want to outlay that much at the moment.
mod6: asciilifeform: how do you feel about such a proposition? If I add in another, say 5 or 10 BTC, does this present any problems in your mind?
mod6: So there's a couple things in the air: We're workin on it. :]
mod6: One thing that's immediately pressing us is that we need to figure out this BTC->USD conversion problem discussed yesterday.
mod6: I think I'm fine to personally add in another 5 BTC at least, maybe 10 BTC. But depends on discussions, etc.
mod6: <+asciilifeform> mircea_popescu: i'm not opposed to 2nd round, and would participate, iirc ben_vulpes & mod6 are weighing the numberz even as we speak. << yeah, we've been talking about this, indeed.
mod6: <+mircea_popescu> mod6, you see holes in ye logic ? << Sounds good. I think that s.nsa building the chassis then we do it as stated is fine. (unless I misunderstand). Pizarro will pay for these in cash. I agree too on staying away from the equity buys as well.
mod6: my bad
mod6: we will need a run of FG tho 'eh?
mod6: heheh
mod6: i use firepit + healthy dose of gasoline
mod6: aha, fictional
mod6: there's no opt out lever.
mod6: it's quite incredible.
mod6: <+asciilifeform> hey ben_vulpes , trinque , mod6 , do you also get these horrors in the post ? << oh yeah. i end up with bushels to burn every quarter.
mod6: hehehe
mod6: Your thing has meaninful content.
mod6: yeah. 99% crap. at least trilema, when I get 27mb, i get 99% stuff I actually want to read/view.
mod6: (homepage)
mod6: mod6.net is ~3000 bytes.
mod6: "use"
mod6: if we were all still on dialup, no one could use facebook...
mod6: jeebus
mod6: HEH
mod6: 27,054 bytes
mod6: I don't have many "friends" irl or anything, but once we have a landing page, will do what I can on my meat-side.
mod6: I mean, "wotless guys".
mod6: Yah, and possibly fg. I know there is a sentiment that orcs are not interested in fg -- however, there are people I've talked to who are pretty interested in that. Don't have coins to buy one, however, still, interest is there.
mod6: 'tis a nice touch, mircea_popescu
mod6: If we can get a landing page up -- then ya, can do some advertising.
mod6: We could use some advertising.
mod6: Well, not a kid, but young guy. So who knows, maybe we'll make him a customer on the shared-environment.
mod6: Well, I did talk to a kid at lunch - told him we got cheap hosting.
mod6: ah, thanks SIr.
mod6: I gotta get some shitty coffee. bbs.
mod6: Still, having them is required, but we still gotta sell 'em.
mod6: ah, maybe that as for 96. anyway, will wait for ben_vulpes
mod6: I'm just trying to figure out if Pizarro has enough cash to get 48 of these down there.
mod6: I may have screwed this up: http://cascadianhacker.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/rockchip.lisp
mod6: Just trying to see if we have enough money to get 48 RC's built and delivered down there.
mod6: I think.
mod6: 24032 (from ben's lisp thing) / 8500 = 2.82 BTC at todays prices for 24 Rockchips delivered is what we had figured out.
mod6: oh. huh. ok.
mod6: asciilifeform: 48 rockchips fit into 4U right?
