mircea_popescu: phf afaik yeah, trinque will give you a sql link
phf: i stopped following the other side, because it was a daily dose of "if you want to suck mp cock you know where to find it"
asciilifeform: most of the folks who aren't here - are still there.
asciilifeform: '... and then one day, he rode away, and where he dwelleth - none can say; for into darkness fell his star - in mordor, where the shadows lie.' (tm) (r) (jrrt)
asciilifeform: <gribble> mike_c was last seen in #bitcoin-assets 7 weeks, 1 day, 1 hour, 14 minutes, and 43 seconds ago: <mike_c> I was like "are all the ratings hosed??"
asciilifeform: (he's logged in, theoretically, here ~and~ there. but so was, until recently, artifexd)
asciilifeform: #b-a ? logged in still, but he ain't there iirc
phf: asciilifeform: you don't hang out there anymore?
gribble: mike_c was last seen in #trilema 7 weeks, 1 day, 0 hours, 43 minutes, and 52 seconds ago: <mike_c> at least you won the 'most famous mircea popescu' award - https://duckduckgo.com/?q=mircea+popescu

thestringpuller: i better not have to resync
thestringpuller: then that happened
mod6: not sure. was this the same blockchain that you've been using with this same build? that error you recieved makes me think something got munged.
thestringpuller: lemme try one last thign
thestringpuller: okay i'll add the new patch sets
thestringpuller: yea just saw that
mod6: if you use the script referenced above, it'll verbosely print out the patches being applied. which you can log into a file.
mod6: follow the steps in that log link.
a111: Logged on 2016-06-15 00:24 mod6: so looks like openssl did change to https, and if you want to build with 'http://deedbot.org/build-bitcoind-V99995.sh', for the time being simply update the script by changing line 63 from:
mod6: and you will ~also~ need to do this: http://btcbase.org/log/2016-06-15#1482967 ☝︎
mod6: follow these steps if need be: http://wiki.deedbot.org/The%20Real%20Bitcoin
thestringpuller: what additional patches do i need to add?
mod6: i would try building with the latest and see.
mod6: since your version shows 50400, it makes me inclined to think that you have some downlevel version since it should say 99999 if you have the latest.
mod6: that'll tell me what is in your patches dir, but not necessarily what you actually built. you haven't said yet what you built or how.
thestringpuller: how can I output my current tree with v.pl?
mod6: do you have the cutblock code in your build?
mod6: mine is happily running along past that block. mine is fully caught up.
thestringpuller: why did it wedge there?
shinohai: it seems to be working for me, was gonna try an arch install tomorrow
mod6: not sure what else might be the problem there though.
mod6: thestringpuller: so, one thing i can tell for sure from your dpaste is that you're not running the latest trb tree.
shinohai: i just mean to me it makes no sense to include href as wordcount
mircea_popescu: i just mean, blue underlined text should be maybe 2-3-4 words not 20+
mircea_popescu: BingoBoingo we prolly should have a rule as to the maximum wordcount for an a href anchor.
mircea_popescu: wget -Hmpr --domains=guccifer2.wordpress.com,guccifer2.files.wordpress.com https://guccifer2.wordpress.com/2016/06/15/dnc/ is the pill.
mircea_popescu: i thought wget was supposed to be FOR THIS.
mircea_popescu: http://superuser.com/questions/827002/mirror-a-blog-with-wget << one of numerous instances of people asking / complaining about the idiocy.
shinohai: ;;later tell BingoBoingo http://ix.io/Ted << re: changetip
gribble: Error: That is an invalid IRC nick. Please check your input.

mircea_popescu: wget -mpr --domains=guccifer2.wordpress.com,guccifer2.files.wordpress.com https://guccifer2.wordpress.com/2016/06/15/dnc/ STILL doesn't get the files
mircea_popescu: oops. i mean... wget -mp is the correct format! who knew :p
mircea_popescu: asciilifeform anything other than wget -m ?
asciilifeform: motherfucker HAD TO put all the docs in buncha js soup
BingoBoingo: mircea_popescu: I think that's a new record for time to qntra post being linked by another qntra post.
shinohai: ;;later tell BingoBoingo http://ix.io/TdH <<< edit fir lulz if needed
BingoBoingo: Perhaps MP is saving the mirror and gloating for a Trilema post?
asciilifeform: that thing will stay up until the hornet's nest clocks in tomorrow morning, at the latest.
asciilifeform: what happened to mirror.
BingoBoingo: mircea_popescu: Adding some links to extant qntra
asciilifeform doesn't see an easy, 'just add water!' clitler cure in there
mircea_popescu: anyway. time to shut down hillary clinton's political aspirations.
BingoBoingo: <mircea_popescu> is anyone qntraing the guccifer thing ? speak now else i'm gonna << I'm going to sleep. If you qntra it I'll publish upon waking
asciilifeform: not bad idea to mirror, also.

asciilifeform: 'Shut down the mechanisms used to transmit criminal profits by shutting down untraceable Internet payment schemes.' << from 'secret' doc's section on 'cyber policy'
mircea_popescu: i'm guessing this is good for fiat ?
shinohai: oh the lulz in the logs today.

asciilifeform: works great for the moneyprinter state.
mircea_popescu: "your honor, i've been delinquent in my obligations, therefore i don't have them"
mircea_popescu: this may be the most amusing argument a taxpayer might ever present
asciilifeform: hence the resurrected 'missile shield' derpage - usg is again seeing the appeal of first strike
mircea_popescu: just as long as the russians, the chinese and the republic each received its respective tax.
mircea_popescu: i guess the other point here is that no, the f-whatever ain't ever gonna fly.
ben_vulpes: there's nobody to cane them into accepting the reality of the world.
mircea_popescu: yes, but that excludes themselves. let them admit it TO THEMSELVES.
ben_vulpes: unfortunately there are like 12 functioning brains wandering around north america
mircea_popescu: btw, i think this is actually rather qntrable, if you feel like it.
ben_vulpes: they just did, to anyone with half a brain
mircea_popescu: well... let them admit it.
ben_vulpes: mircea_popescu: so they're pathetic stoolies, what of it. what else have they been for decades?
ben_vulpes: i ain't even mad anymore, just amused, and pleased at how easily the whole thing should melt apart.

asciilifeform: 'The photo above was posted recently to JQP Facebook as a means of commenting on the exorbitant waste of the Air Force’s multiple annual gatherings of its grand poobahs. Their gatherings, nicknamed “Corona” conferences, drain money, time, focus, and manpower from an already depleted Air Force in order to swaddle the service’s generals in the comfort of Earthly deification as they absorb formal dinners and presentations adding
