BTC-Mining: The problem is, even if he's long on bitcoin... suppose someone makes a gain in fiat position (10%). That gain is in fiat. During that time, BTC value indeed goes long, it raises 200%. Try to buy with 10% fiat profit 10% profit in bitcoins worth 3x the price. You'd need to have made 30% profit on the position to pay the 10% in bitcoins.
mircea_popescu: good. cause as i was saying, btc is very volatile and has in the past, even recent past, caused a lot of pain.
kakobrekla: you make a short or whatever

BTC-Mining: The thing is, his contact was talking about 1:1000 leverage being possible. I doubt they'd take so much risk as a broker

BTC-Mining: kako, you don't seem to understand you're making a profit on a position in FIAT. If you make a 10% (1 USD on 10 USD, for 1 BTC) profit in fiat but bitcoins value raises 10x in USD value during that time (100 USD). Your 1 USD will pay only for 1% extra in bitcoin, not 10%. Either you or MT4 would have to eat a damn loss to give that full 10%.
Chaang-Noi: im a goat mother fuckers! ☟︎

BTC-Mining: Enky claims a position will have to be matched with an opposite position also using BTC
Enky: if is it unlinked who pay a profit in btc to a guy that never held a position in fiat currency?

BTC-Mining: [10:53] <BTC-Mining> smickles, kako is saying you could have a BTC balance, and have a USD/EUR position for it, so if you lose 10% on the position, you lose 10% oF the BTC used for the position. AND COMPLETLY IGNORE BTC PRICE FLUCTUATION DURING THAT TIME. That's what I understood.
BTC-Mining: Would carry a huge risk for you depending on BTC price fluctuations.

BTC-Mining: kakobrekla wants to make a BTC > fiat/fiat positions service with BTC backing the position. BUT, of course, BTC price fluctuation doesn't need hedging or doesn't matter at all in this.

BTC-Mining: But hedging has a cost...
