meh: If I was thinking about investing somewhere where would you recommend at such
a time in bitcoins history?
mircea_popescu: do these 1.1k btc worth of mining gear correspond to
a 22gh/s mining farm ?
topace: not exactly
a balance sheet
mircea_popescu: this is
a cashflow statement, was looking for
a balancesheet
mircea_popescu: correction upward ? we've not been on
a downtrend since last year
bgupta: Bubble/cyprus/russians.. sartng to think we may infact be de for
a serious correction..
meh: This, this, seems like
a nice idea
meh:
a bot that informs you?
topace: 10 seems
a bit steep at current rates eh
bowjob: they have
a 1.5 TH BFL pre order.. we all know how that turned out.
novusordo: "Hi Mara. That is
a hard life you have there."
KRS1: Everyones worth
a mil now mircea
bowjob: it wasnt
a hot stock back then
thestringpuller: but as the difficulty rises I'm paranoid of their being
a run on the stock
bowjob: its doing extremely well for
a 22gigahash farm
mircea_popescu: Namworld you know, not as
a dig but, you seem regularly confounded by the state of the world in various details.
mircea_popescu: bowjob if everyone was pumping it we'd have
a probkem.
jurov: what is the rule no #? when you thought of
a scam, someone on internet already did it
thestringpuller: film industry is cutthroat, I can't wait for the first scammer to try and raise money for
a movie
thestringpuller: mircea_popescu: also been on the set of
a few shows that were pitched to Adult Swim but never made it to air.
thestringpuller: mircea_popescu I've been on the set of Walking Dead and
a few others, didn't work was just

gribble: smickles was last seen in #bitcoin-assets 2 days, 3 hours, 29 minutes, and 37 seconds ago: <smickles>
a bitcoin atm could be the easiest way to send money to
a friend, each of you just goes to an atm
gribble: MtGox lag is 1.2938 seconds. During this time, light travels 0.00259276071389 AU. You could have sent
a bitcoin from Earth to Moon (0.00257 AU).
KRS1: there will be
a gox announcement about alternative currencies next week?
thestringpuller: "But that is water under the bridge now. EskimoBob is receiving regular scheduled distributions on his investment along with all my other former shareholders." <- is
a lie
kakobrekla: >. I have no qualms about what EskimoBob did so long as he pays for it, one way or another. And
a 10% return in
a little over
a month is fine with me. I've evaluated his business plan and I rather like the little setup he has going. It works like this. Either he makes me rich, or he turns out to be
a scammer and I get the last laugh. I could care less either way.
gribble: MtGox lag is 0 seconds. During this time, light travels 0.0 AU. You could have sent
a bitcoin ... nowhere, really (0 AU).
DeaDTerra: That logic... If I know more things my brain will use more oxygen and hence there's
a bigger change I will die from
a heart attack?
DeaDTerra: I am not saying I have
a perfect record, but I am not
a scammer
kakobrekla: 16:14.50 ( DeaDTerra ) It's funny how half
a year ago people in this channel lauged at me and called me
a scammer for helping AM IPO :)
error4733: agree, but big mistake as
a news noob i put 80% of my btc in S.dice
jurov: Anyway it's not
a good practice to check portfolio every day.
DeaDTerra: Well, I for one think that S.DICE is
a good investment as the volume doesn't follow the BTC price perfectly but it does it well enough to protect okay against
a BTC price fall but not good enough to totally crash when the BTC price spikes.
DeaDTerra: It's funny how half
a year ago people in this channel lauged at me and called me
a scammer for helping AM IPO :)
DeaDTerra: which suggest that it's still
a good investment if you believe in
a long term increase in the BTC price
DeaDTerra: I got
a nice dividend and I can just wait until S.DICE has good luck again
DeaDTerra: if the volume would be super bad you might be able to justify selling but selling because S.DICE is unlucky and hence had
a bad dividend is just
a poor decision
DeaDTerra: S.DICE are having
a really bad month in terms of luck but not that bad month in terms of volume
bowjob: ltc dropping like
a bitch
prof7bit: what is the maximum weight and when is it consdered "low", why not ue
a percenage instead of 8 digit numbers
mircea_popescu: but those that do have it to reflect the fact that it's more risk to claim
a girl is pregnant in her first week than in her last.
prof7bit: this calculation method is very intransparent and convoluted, why not choose
a simpler and more intuitive calculation?
prof7bit: i'm using
a webkit based browser
prof7bit: bitbet could need
a help page. there is no explanation how it works, what the numbers mean, what the small graph below each bet means, how to calculate my possible win, etc.
jurov: Anyone working in the press is
a professional and intellectual failure. << yup, this begins well
mircea_popescu: Title : {
A fear} + {An assumption} = {An inconsistent definition}
toffoo: but smells like he should earn
a prominent position on your scam list sometime soon
copumpkin: I could see compliance departments having
a problem with it, in some cases
copumpkin: well, I lent my TV to
a friend several years ago because I never watched it
dub: yeah would be
a bit dumb not to
toffoo: hmm..maybe
a bit early to be buying in then
toffoo: cool thnx .. I may give that
a try, with my <cough> .. nVidia
toffoo: BTC-e started trading now like
a few hours ago
bgupta: THere is
a reason they say "the gold standard" and not the "silver" "nickel" "copper" or "tin" standard.
gribble: MtGox lag is 0 seconds. During this time, light travels 0.0 AU. You could have sent
a bitcoin ... nowhere, really (0 AU).
pgp: nice to see
a plus-tick on SDICE
jurov: plus, adding
a fee did help
a bit
Ukto: but the method for handling this, and letting users throw whatever amoutn they want at
a tx fee is coming with the new weex relesae
Ukto: i dont know how many user syou have constatnly withdrawing, but I tend to get
a few about the same time every few days
Ukto: jurov: yes, but not ona per-send unless you do
a custom raw tx
Ukto: i was just looking at
a txn witha higher fee
Ukto: as
a block just went out
Ukto: along with
a the max set to 0.8
jborkl: hmm, I wonder if we addnode eachother with
a fee structure we like - we will broadcast and get included faster- therefore prioritizing out transactions
Ukto: which caused
a fork
Ukto: this conflicted with with
a limitation in 0.8
Ukto: during slow times, i have tested sending tx with
a 0.1btc fee
Ukto: jborkl: yes, but as as service, it's
a huge pain to constantly change that one line and restart
ThickAsThieves: if i'm trying to send 20btc quickly, in order to profit 10%, i dont care about paying even
a .1btc fee
Ukto: unless you pay
a highre fee than sdice's already higher than default fee
