jurov: can't you just hire a $10 writer from freelancer to make a statement... oh you're broke i forgot
jurov: cuz i just can't understand why you're so lewd in communicating with shareholders
jurov: i was asking on btctalk... got less information than now, with plenty of "perhaps"
Namworld: MPEx has no method to send announcement. Plus I'm here almost everyday. I think you know that by now. I haven't seen you asking before, although I see you here almost daily too =/
jurov: Okay. Now, why this isn't announced in condensed form I can get an URL of, instead i have to collect this information from btctalk and irc?
Namworld: and I'll manage their import to BTCT.co
Namworld: I'll be accepting a signature from the same gpg key MPEx will give us.
jurov: and so i told the users
jurov: i was thinking you already started to move the shares, using MPEx PUSH function to accept shares to be moved to btct
jurov: i'm not interested to protract this process. i'll just sell the stuf fat whatever price and send the users after you.
BitHub: i'm starting to think its better to not have your bitcoin company based where you live, better off having it in a tax haven sort of place or somewhere a bit protected from western laws. The biggest liability a bitcoin business gives you is the ability for the gov to fuck you for not doing your taxes properly
Namworld: as for low bids, I have low bids on everything, but that's my personal account and I put low bids on everything, as you might have noticed.
Diablo-D3: yeah, see, I am not
BitHub: i am currently in a partnership
Namworld: The others are broke. And I can't afford to buyback either.
Namworld: I can't make decisions for everyone, I'm not alone in this.
BitHub: i think a LLP is better than a LLC
Namworld: I wouldn't liquidate at market price, we're moving to BTCT.co and we might just buyback shares
jurov: seems tomorrow at this time i'll be liquidating my client's holdings by selling at mkt price, you can't offer more?
mircea_popescu: i am serious.
jurov: congrats.. they are not s.bvps shareholders, i guess.
Diablo-D3: I wouldnt need a lawyer to register an llc, would I?
Namworld: I think I should have waited for that instead.
Namworld: I want to try to get puts higher at the top... looks like we're still a bit far from the top
Namworld: Yeah, I sold two blocks of 1000 puts at a loss. I think I'll stop there.
Lyspooner: i'd shoot her in the face if that happened to me, too
mircea_popescu: ok that makes me half sorry i didn't see it.
Lyspooner: i used to watch the bitcoin show with bruce wagner
mircea_popescu: i misread :D
Lyspooner: http://m.theglobeandmail.com/sports/more-sports/pistorius-nike-ad-i-am-the-bullet-pulled-from-local-television/article8665278/?service=mobile
kakobrekla: i have a theory about that theory

mjr_: i'm off to the bar
pigeons: well someone linked this the other day i think http://www.citizen-citizen.com/collections/all/products/gold-pills
mircea_popescu: "I went through the shoutbox archives and it turns out that engineer has been trying to figure out how their boundary scan tester works unsuccessfully for 3 straight days now. You kinda need that thing to figure out if the chips work correctly and if they don't why they don't work correctly."

mjr_: you could make a mechanical computer i suppose but would be quite slow
mjr_: i think you could...it is conductive...
mjr_: if i remember correctly, he killed his daughter by touching her
mjr_: so i can work to feed myself
mjr_: i suppose
mircea_popescu: no, im just sayingthat the value of my resources isn't a function of what i do or not do.
mjr_: what you are saying is..."i can spend no resources and yet get everything i need"
mjr_: i said at any price
mjr_: i'm saying, in order to get something, i spend money
mircea_popescu: ya, i get that, but it happens to be wrong.
mjr_: there is no amount of food i would take in compensation for my dollar
mjr_: i can't eat
mjr_: my point is that if i said i refuse to part with my dollars for anything in return
mjr_: at this point right now i mean
mjr_: ie. what price is someone willing to pay, i don't know because i am not willing to sell *at any price*
mjr_: i can't buy from you using btc, i can't sell to you for btc
mircea_popescu: i never heard that 1.
mjr_: ie. i cannot spend my bitcoins or gain something from them
mircea_popescu: by then i guess spending btc may well be safe
mircea_popescu: i think by 2100 or so i'll be out of fiat assets
mjr_: so, i think the two are mutually dependant
mircea_popescu: so in a sense, albeit very synthetically, i am paying for everyting in bitcoin
mircea_popescu: from my pov i am simply conserving btc portofolio and using my fiat assets to discharge all obligations
Lyspooner: mircea_popescu yes, i agree. people should strive to get 1000 BTC if they don't have it already
mjr_: if anyone, anyone at all, can tell me they do not use fiat at all for any reason, then i will be surprised
mjr_: but i don't think it will be that quick
mjr_: but i think the adoption and publicity has exploded as fst
mjr_: i agree that is the ultimate goal
jurov: of what i;m saying about mpex
jurov: um, where do i assemble a team everyone is like, has to sustain wife and kids, paying mortgage and scared shitless
mjr_: i feel like that is on at least a hundred VC's whiteboards right now
mircea_popescu: i'll tell you something definite, i'm getting about one person a day hitting me up about advice as to how to go into bitcoin business
Lyspooner: i did pizzaforbitcoins, it is worthless
mircea_popescu: no, i used a street vendor
mod6: i was wondering if you used the pizza.itradebtc.com thingy
mircea_popescu: I meant with EUROs
mircea_popescu: fuck. i said with bitcoins
mircea_popescu: well they claimed they were students but i dunno...
mircea_popescu: Lyspooner don't hate, i bought some homeless chicks pizzas with bitcoins like yest.
mjr_: no, not using vwap, using mt gox last i meant
mircea_popescu: i imagine sooner or later someone competent - maybe a miner - will start mming them
mircea_popescu: mjr_ well... i dunno.
mircea_popescu: mjr_ they're developing their own last i heard.
mircea_popescu: i wonder if the next 4th go to slush
mjr_: i saw one in person
mircea_popescu: which is somewhat not surprising, i guess they're mostly the liberal arts/community college folks with a lot of debt and degrees in whore/nigger studies right ?
mircea_popescu: "I really hope asicminer brings all their stuff online, takes control of the network and pushes all the other mining pools out of existence by increasing the difficulty beyond profitability for anyone without their own ASICs. People desert Bitcoin in droves, the price crashes and ASIC owners are left holding the bag of worthless Bitcoins and useless, expensive hardware."
mircea_popescu: which i think is the real problem here.
mjr_: i mean, changing the world and the financial systems, giving people a more democratic method of payment, giving them power...that is all well and good...i really just want to see SA cry
mjr_: but i can see baseless tulip stuff vs growing interest
mjr_: no one can predict and i don't even want to

mjr_: i had the time and thought this guy would be like wtf
mjr_: well...i want to be able to try and get a bunch of people to email
mjr_: so i said my first suggestion is that you get an email address for suggestions
mjr_: had to live chat cuz i couldn't find an email address
mjr_: so i went to suggest to netflix
mjr_: i think they will do better as online wallet/vendor support than as actual bitcoin exchange
mjr_: but, i kinda appreciate not having to think about netflix, just automatically take my $7...if i had to call or actually do something...probably wouldn't be worth the effort
mjr_: yeah, i mean, that is kinda on the buyer
