mircea_popescu: i'd rather give it to strippers.
thestringpuller: why not just sell all your bitcoins and give your money to the government they know what is best for you
thestringpuller: stop trying to be a speculator
mircea_popescu: BitHub well, i mean in general speaking. bonds and equity, loans and investments. what else is there ?
BitHub: i'm meeting with business partner, going to show him mpex
BitHub: maybe that's all i can do for now
BitHub: i would like to earn back 1btc a day
mircea_popescu: it may be juicers or toasters or something, not necessarily asics
mircea_popescu: kakobrekla by the time last block is mined bfl delivers fo sho.
gribble: BTCUSD ticker | Best bid: 27.31002, Best ask: 27.40000, Bid-ask spread: 0.08998, Last trade: 27.40000, 24 hour volume: 106786.27768202, 24 hour low: 24.50000, 24 hour high: 27.59690, 24 hour vwap: 26.35512
kakobrekla: So, october it is, 2013 this time.
kakobrekla: inaba delivery confidence speaks: 100 BTC that BFL will deliver ASICs. I only put the 2013 timeframe on there so there's a definitive endpoint to the bet, even though it will be over long before then.
burnside: yeah, there's been lots of time to plan, announcement was some time ago.
jurov: burnside you see for yourself: if this was planned/announced better in advance, i'd be aware sooner of all possibilities...
burnside: I have a basic LAMP ready client you can download and pull apart, it's linked as a .zip on that page.
burnside: docs here: https://btct.co/faq?tab=tab5 ... they're a work in progress, but I'm happy to answer any questions.
burnside: you could go 3-legged and not have to do a central db/management
burnside: Jurov, btct has enough of an api now that you could broker assets there too
jurov: what am i going to, create btct account? why?
jurov: almost 2 weeks ago and no one asked about transfer so far... so they'll be liquidated. punt.
jurov: yes i gave them two options
Namworld: Still, seems preferable to handle a transfer and let each coinbr user decide what they want to do with theirs.
jurov: just that he broke the contract, so i guess he's obliged to repay at least the equity to shareholders
jurov: i don't have them anymore, no "wants" there.
Namworld: If you want that, I suppose.
jurov: he should pay then, no?
Namworld: But we don't have money aside for that either. Would take a good chunk.
Namworld: I'm not broke personally, but making a buyback at ~0.003 for all circulating shares, I can't do that right now.
jurov: can't you just hire a $10 writer from freelancer to make a statement... oh you're broke i forgot
jurov: and your announcement about the bonds made me ask..
jurov: i was asking on btctalk... got less information than now, with plenty of "perhaps"
Namworld: MPEx has no method to send announcement. Plus I'm here almost everyday. I think you know that by now. I haven't seen you asking before, although I see you here almost daily too =/
jurov: Okay. Now, why this isn't announced in condensed form I can get an URL of, instead i have to collect this information from btctalk and irc?
Namworld: and I'll manage their import to BTCT.co
Namworld: We can even use email addresses to import, if your users give authorization for their email to be disclosed, + signature of your holdings
Namworld: A simple signature from the gpg key used for MPEx will suffice.
Namworld: MPEx is supposed to give us a list of key with the amount of shares tied to it on delisting.
Namworld: I'll be accepting a signature from the same gpg key MPEx will give us.
jurov: but you're waiting to muck with STAT verification instead...
jurov: and so i told the users
jurov: i was thinking you already started to move the shares, using MPEx PUSH function to accept shares to be moved to btct
jurov: i'm not interested to protract this process. i'll just sell the stuf fat whatever price and send the users after you.
BitHub: i'm starting to think its better to not have your bitcoin company based where you live, better off having it in a tax haven sort of place or somewhere a bit protected from western laws. The biggest liability a bitcoin business gives you is the ability for the gov to fuck you for not doing your taxes properly
Namworld: as for low bids, I have low bids on everything, but that's my personal account and I put low bids on everything, as you might have noticed.
Namworld: We're nto going to sell shares.
BitHub: D3 we will probably upgrade from a LLP to a LLC if we do a offshore company.
jurov: what does that have with selling shares?
BitHub: than a LLC is the next best thing
Namworld: We're buying servers with what we have to reduce monthly expenses.
Diablo-D3: BitHub: you do realize, though, an LLP is a partnership, right?
gribble: (ticker [--bid|--ask|--last|--high|--low|--avg] [--currency XXX]) -- Return pretty-printed mtgox ticker. If one of the result options is given, returns only that numeric result (useful for nesting in calculations). If '--currency XXX' option is given, returns ticker for that three-letter currency code. It is up to you to make sure that the three letter code you enter is a valid currency (1 more message)
jurov: why don't you sell on btct then?
BitHub: currently am thinking to completely shut down and unregister australian operations, keep everything personalized, keep everything in btc, never let the company touch fiat, might look into setting up offsore LLC with fake company directors (this is all perfectly legal)
Namworld: We'd like to buy back shares eventually.
Namworld: The others are broke. And I can't afford to buyback either.
jurov: not very good outlook for bitvps if you can;t agree on such simpel thing
jurov: so you three or four can't even decide on buyback price and just place mpex order?
Namworld: Within a year it should turn quite profitable.
Namworld: I can't make decisions for everyone, I'm not alone in this.
jurov: Namworld: "probably" "might" ? these solid plans of yours again, eh?
BitHub: i think a LLP is better than a LLC
Namworld: I wouldn't liquidate at market price, we're moving to BTCT.co and we might just buyback shares
BitHub: problem is mircea nobody wants to pay for anything haha
jurov: seems tomorrow at this time i'll be liquidating my client's holdings by selling at mkt price, you can't offer more?
Diablo-D3: mircea_popescu: lawyers cost thousands of dollars
mircea_popescu: if the cost of registering a llc is an issue then you shouldn't make one
Diablo-D3: silly mircea_popescu, trolling is for kids
mircea_popescu: im sure they have llc reg services there too.
Diablo-D3: mircea_popescu: yes, but in maine it just has to be someone living here
mircea_popescu: Diablo-D3 its prolly best to have someone else handle it
jurov: congrats.. they are not s.bvps shareholders, i guess.
Namworld: Some people have trust in me, lending at 10.95% per year it seems.
Diablo-D3: I wouldnt need a lawyer to register an llc, would I?
Namworld: I think I should have waited for that instead.
Namworld: I want to try to get puts higher at the top... looks like we're still a bit far from the top
Namworld: Yeah, I sold two blocks of 1000 puts at a loss. I think I'll stop there.

Lyspooner: and it looks like he doesn't have a leg to stand on

mircea_popescu: bah Lyspooner beat me to it
mircea_popescu: why is that wow ?
Lyspooner: poor taste
Lyspooner: redditors don't have that kind of dough
kakobrekla: i have a theory about that theory
maximian: there's a theory floating around that the recent runup may have had something to do with Reddit insiders doing a little speculating before todays announcement.
jurov: lol they speak my soul "i wanted to play with things i could never afford on my own"
jurov: just watching TPB AFK.. interesting
