Chaang-Noi: if i send you a gold bar and tell you it is insured and you pay a fee for that, but it is not insured then its a scam
mircea_popescu: as in, they insured the wrong item ?
eeeCurrencyDotCo: Mircea, its' peter from eee - you sent me a link to chat with you here.
mircea_popescu: what's that mean ?
Chaang-Noi: fail to insure it correctly
mircea_popescu: why's provider getting a scammer tag again ?
mircea_popescu: what i got from the digest was, customer paid, provider shipped, insurance blew up.
Chaang-Noi: he admits the guy paid for it
Chaang-Noi: he is saying he cant give the silver because he would run out of money
mod6: "i hate it when its too many niggas, not enough hoes, too many rookies, not enough pros!"
Chaang-Noi: they cant send the silver cuz they will lose money
Chaang-Noi: who wants to be coinabul gets scammer tag? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=149253.20;topicseen
mircea_popescu: i liked that line enough im now digging to find who the fuck came up with it
mircea_popescu: it's spelled amateurs tho
mircea_popescu: <mod6> too many amatures not enough pros, too many bitches, not enough ho's... << good one
Chaang-Noi: ltc back to 20 cetns lol
Chaang-Noi: they are really good, have 3 females and a male, im breeding them
mod6: rotts are supposed to be awesome dogs.
Chaang-Noi: and i need a truck for the rotts... cuz 4 large dogs are big... but its good cuz the rotts can gaurd the truck... fucking crazy
BitHub: i met this guy maybe a month into it? no business plan, its crazy
Chaang-Noi: got 4 rotts to garud the house, neighbors start to fuck with the rotts... so i get video camerias to protect the rotts, fucking crazy
mod6: too many amatures not enough pros, too many bitches, not enough ho's...
Chaang-Noi: yeah, had no idea it could do that but hell, same price
mod6: BitHub: well, we all have to start somewhere.
BitHub: its amazing the amount of amatures that i come across sometimes, they dont even have a business plan or anything and think they're going to land on an exchange or PT and be taken seriously?
mod6: s.dice has had an interesting ride into divs, and even after... seems to be doing the inverse of what you would expect.
mircea_popescu: haha check this out https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=149496.msg1587971#msg1587971 the whale emerges.
mircea_popescu: jumpin' jesus on a stick, three months is now a track record ;/
mircea_popescu: "I notice there are some BTC bookies. So I thought I would help bettors win more bets. I began betting on sports back in December 2012 with a nice record so far. "
mircea_popescu: how does that work ? paid if the op wins only ?
aiball: do you know what's wrong with s.dice price? is this just a dollar based stock?
mircea_popescu: aiball as safe as i know how to make it.
aiball: mr. p. I'd say that's the biggest wild card at the moment - a high profile hack. your shit is safe right?
mircea_popescu: o hey, it occurs to me, this is the right time to get hacked right ?
Namworld: about time it slowed a bit...
gribble: BTCUSD ticker | Best bid: 44.00000, Best ask: 44.12509, Bid-ask spread: 0.12509, Last trade: 43.66490, 24 hour volume: 108414.79454220, 24 hour low: 37.41306, 24 hour high: 45.00000, 24 hour vwap: 40.57198
mircea_popescu: question is, can this be at all traced based on some qualities of the hash flux
mircea_popescu: obviously i can set up a mining pool account and proxy other peoples mining there.
mircea_popescu: specifically, how traceable is hashing based on the reject rate ?
mircea_popescu: anyone rthat understands mining, how sensible is that ?
mircea_popescu: I think 67117 is proxy pool. The hash output is always simillar to SLUSH's. SLUSH has 2.6% rejection rate -they obviusly proxy pooling. Still not real proof of working ASIC.
Namworld: eh, none of that for me
mircea_popescu: but it'd take a brave man.
mircea_popescu: you can sell calls short which would be doing exactly that.
Namworld: I think the current success would be shorting your BTC for USD
mircea_popescu: no better way to showcase btc success than a successful exit for him.
mircea_popescu: i imagine he's pretty motivated to do it too.
maximian: yep, it's a possibility, and I believe he's the kind of guy who could pull it off.
mircea_popescu: but i can see erik reasonably walking away from anything under 100mn total
mircea_popescu: course, it has to happen first.
maximian: imo, the best case scenario for s.dice is an acquisition by a big player looking for a quick entrance into btcland
gribble: BTCUSD ticker | Best bid: 44.20000, Best ask: 44.25000, Bid-ask spread: 0.05000, Last trade: 44.15000, 24 hour volume: 108129.84604915, 24 hour low: 37.41306, 24 hour high: 45.00000, 24 hour vwap: 40.54922
maximian: It wasn't clear that he was talking about s.dice, but it would be nice if he's hinting at an acquisition or partnership
mircea_popescu: course he's been saying that for a while
maximian: evoorhees has to get cracking and start promoting this thing again!
mircea_popescu: day's volume is 200 btc. that's not much really.
mircea_popescu: thus one goes 65 to 75 the other 62 to 45
mircea_popescu: so maybe that's what's driving prices really
maximian: s.dice not doing so well so far this month, but that's to be expected now and then
mircea_popescu: on the strength of the action so far, s.dice is ahead what, 2k yet ?
mircea_popescu: course there's another thing : on the strength of the book so far, s.mpoe could walk home with 20-30k btc.
Namworld: There's a few multinationals like that with low yield and high demand. Safety and stability are good to consider.
mircea_popescu: maximian i guess maybe that's it, in spite of early explosive success people expect it to flame
Namworld: I think. Still great stock. Stable, very old company. Popular as ever.
maximian: not if everyone expects it to flame out early
mircea_popescu: actually i'd be much surprised if the average retail investor could even tell you what dividend his portofolio paid
mircea_popescu: course if you think about it, a corp that issues 10% divs a year is not automatically better than one that issues 3%
mircea_popescu: so there must be other factors
mircea_popescu: yet their marketcaps are like 2:1 in favour of s.mpoe
mircea_popescu: but anyway, s.dice has so far paid ~50k satoshi per share in dividends to s.mpoe's ~2k
Namworld: good to know that people with enough BTC to trade on MPEx can manage not to screw up deposits.
mircea_popescu: ftr an incorrect deposit has yet to make it to shareholders. there was a grand total of like, 1 so far.
dub: so they do
maximian: I think people know that mope is here to stay, but there's a lot of uncertainty around s.dice
mircea_popescu: Revenue from sales fee : 187.80380028 BTC (Total trade : 93`901.90014227 BTC)
dub: Namworld: I didn't know fees contributed to s.mpoe, its not just the options?
mircea_popescu: tho tbh... it doesn't seem to account for the disparity.
mircea_popescu: if people are thinking "s.dice has consistantly been over EV" it may be a consideration.
mircea_popescu: i think the fact that mpoe/mpex can't have a lossy month for shareholders may be a factor.
maximian: evoorhees could have done the same
maximian: evoorhees, on the other hand, sold way below market price for some crazy unfathomable reason, which was a big WTF
mircea_popescu: maximian actually more an attempt to keep it from bubbling up than anything.
maximian: actually, MP has regularly dumped mpoe shares as well, but he did it differently: he placed large asks well above the market price
Chaang-Noi: asic miner is the next big hot trader i bet
Namworld: Well S.MPOE could dramatically improve with a majority of assets trading moving to MPEx
Chaang-Noi: dice at .003? id buy at that price some...
dub: maximian: or that there won't be any more surprise share splits
Namworld: I guess if you consider MPEx's track record and long term, if people expect Bitcoins to become mainstream and MPEx to retain it's #1 position to trade assets...
maximian: it must be a confidence thing. perhaps people have little faith that s.dice will be around long term.
maximian: even though its divs performance is consistently worse than s.dice's
Namworld: Of course, lots of options being traded
maximian: MPOE is in demand, on the other hand
Namworld: Only 100 traded that low
dub: what is surprising about that?
pizzaman1337: S.DICE trading at 0.00300001? gosh...
Chaang-Noi: crawling back up to 45...
dub: DT going on 'holiday' to italy
Namworld: Now everyone wants BTC in their hands
maximian: that would have gone in a flash last week I think
maximian: there's a big fat ask there at 0.0047
