kakobrekla: why do you think so?
mircea_popescu: well, were. i think they got scared off meanwhile.
mircea_popescu: no they didn't vanish, bitcoin scamdation people are trying to push kenna's new scam
thestringpuller: but usagi is still trying to "make a name for himself"
thestringpuller: the tradehill people vanished
kakobrekla: no that was the old company you silly!
mircea_popescu: <thestringpuller> the payments were not regular and have ceased without any warning or explanation except when probed << sorta like tradehill ?
jurov: i think hiring psy would be sufficient
thestringpuller: "But that is water under the bridge now. EskimoBob is receiving regular scheduled distributions on his investment along with all my other former shareholders." <- is a lie
thestringpuller: I'm about to hire Yakuza to collect my coin from Usagi
mircea_popescu: BTC has gone from $10 to $100, and ART lost 98.41% of it's investor's money. To point out the obvious, the expected loss was 90%, not 98.41%. Losing that extra 8.41% is much, much larger than it seems. Because accounting for the fluctuation in currency prices, ART went on to lose 84.1% of it's value.
mircea_popescu: well so good for them then
kakobrekla: also this >EskimoBob is receiving regular scheduled distributions on his investment along with all my other former shareholders. Further, I own some shares of ART. In short, EskimoBob works for me now, Augustocroppo, and in my books that's the way it should be.
kakobrekla: omg this is rich
kakobrekla: >. I have no qualms about what EskimoBob did so long as he pays for it, one way or another. And a 10% return in a little over a month is fine with me. I've evaluated his business plan and I rather like the little setup he has going. It works like this. Either he makes me rich, or he turns out to be a scammer and I get the last laugh. I could care less either way.
deadweasel: i know, at least they get us high for free.
Namworld: Hmm, I'm surprised about those stats. There's no source included for them sadly.
deadweasel: quiet weekend thankfully.

kakobrekla: perhaps thats why hes doing the show from jail
DeaDTerra: That logic... If I know more things my brain will use more oxygen and hence there's a bigger change I will die from a heart attack?
pigeons: that sounds good jurov, i'll get in touch later probably
ThickAsThieves: i dont think he has that feature
jurov: Ofc, must research if if allows transfer between users.
ThickAsThieves: how would you do that without topace?
jurov: Okay. So I'll transfer your sdice from havelock to mpex for 0.1btc only.
kakobrekla: i think jurov just self smarted himlsef
ThickAsThieves: you gotta pay topace
kakobrekla: i think thats 10btc a tx
jurov: So, i succeeded to register at havelock and snatch some sdice...but i don't see function to transfer *to* mpex...
DeaDTerra: I have learnt that trusting people in the bitcoin forum is naive and doesn't work out
DeaDTerra: If you try to promote things some will turn out bad some will turn out well
DeaDTerra: well fuck the haters :)
kakobrekla: 16:14.50 ( DeaDTerra ) It's funny how half a year ago people in this channel lauged at me and called me a scammer for helping AM IPO :)
kakobrekla: DeaDTerra they still do, and for dealing with AA, usagi etc too
DeaDTerra: The only once that profit from active trading (in long term) is your broker/exchange
jurov: Anyway it's not a good practice to check portfolio every day.
DeaDTerra: kind of regret that now
DeaDTerra: I had 1000 shares, I sold them for 0.126...
DeaDTerra: Well, I for one think that S.DICE is a good investment as the volume doesn't follow the BTC price perfectly but it does it well enough to protect okay against a BTC price fall but not good enough to totally crash when the BTC price spikes.
error4733: i miss the AM boat, shame
error4733: time will say, i kept some S.dice 4 glory but if every morning i'm happy with btc rally but i'm cry when i look to S.dice it's not good
DeaDTerra: looks like I got the last laugh
DeaDTerra: It's funny how half a year ago people in this channel lauged at me and called me a scammer for helping AM IPO :)
ThickAsThieves: plus sdice, AM, and bitbet are like the only decent Btc assets
error4733: need time to switch to 140$
DeaDTerra: which suggest that it's still a good investment if you believe in a long term increase in the BTC price
DeaDTerra: the volume has not dropped by 11 times
DeaDTerra: but S.DICE is quite resiliant to the BTC price increase
DeaDTerra: eh I am happy to keep the shares ;)
ThickAsThieves: my .0037 offer doesnt look so bad now though DT ;)
ThickAsThieves: i'll gladly buy at these prices
DeaDTerra: if the volume would be super bad you might be able to justify selling but selling because S.DICE is unlucky and hence had a bad dividend is just a poor decision
DeaDTerra: S.DICE are having a really bad month in terms of luck but not that bad month in terms of volume
DeaDTerra: People do not seem to understand probability and statistics

prof7bit: what is the maximum weight and when is it consdered "low", why not ue a percenage instead of 8 digit numbers
jurov: weight goes down linearly in time
mircea_popescu: but those that do have it to reflect the fact that it's more risk to claim a girl is pregnant in her first week than in her last.
prof7bit: how is the weight calculated, why does this factor even exist, why not just calculate the ratio of total winning side / total losing side?
mircea_popescu: prof7bit because this one happens to be fair.
jurov: if it's too low, abstain form betting
jurov: for me it feels right. just have to remind myself to always check the weight
jurov: ahh ic now. in konqueror+webkit the FAQ gets flushed down, onto white background
jurov: prolly tell kakobrekla to fix
prof7bit: why is the "faq" link white text on white background? No wonder I couldn't find it.
prof7bit: or will this remain a secret
prof7bit: bitbet could need a help page. there is no explanation how it works, what the numbers mean, what the small graph below each bet means, how to calculate my possible win, etc.
jurov: (latest trilema article)
jurov: Anyone working in the press is a professional and intellectual failure. << yup, this begins well
