Skitchen: surely no one is that... uneducated... about what they're spending money on
cosmo: ertyctnseldom, that was a good read, refreshing
cosmo: yeah, and work sucks, especially when 80% of what's out there is retail, so i want my money to work for me.

cosmo: i understand what you mean matthew_boyd, but what i'm thinking is that bitcoin is open source, and still kind of beta, i'm not entirely convinced it won't be dominated by a superior version
matthew_boyd: but that will confuse everyone :P
matthew_boyd: Yea, I have it in my head, finding it hard to get it on paper
matthew_boyd: This is my reasoning: Some Bitcoin is a limited number, therefore making them rare. Rare things usually gain value over time, right? So that is a small number / limited number. So are shares, so if you have say ASIC shares, that you bought with Bitcoins, you are multipling a limited number by a limited number, which makes a smaller number (percentage wise) if you get my drift
cosmo: probably the same reasons why one should hold bitcoins regardless but sure, i'll learn something

cosmo: the way i see it, holding bitcoin is investment enough... using it to buy stocks is, eh.. "rickety"
matthew_boyd: Wait, let's get this straight, you have Bitcoins, right?
cosmo: lol, thanks for the reassurance matthew_boyd :p
cosmo: which is why i want to invest in a group of people who utilize cryptocurrency, like bitpay.
ertyctnseldom: or do you want to invest in bitcoin?
ertyctnseldom: you want to invest your bitcoin, right?
cosmo: i understand how crypto's work and strongly believe they'll have a huge impact on our future (who doesn't?) but with it being open source it's anyones guess as to what system is most optimal
