ThickAsThieves: to me, i'd either want the original, or a good-enough print to look pretty on the wall
nubbins`: nothing worse than seeing people selling small "prints" for $50 each
nubbins`: to compare a giclee to a linocut or a serigraph is truly taking the piss
nubbins`: but they're worth the cost of the paper and inks, plus maybe $20
nubbins`: oh, sure, sometimes. but that's still just dicking around on the computer
nubbins`: producing a giclee involves making sure your ink cartridges are topped up, and clicking a mouse
nubbins`: producing a print takes skill and effort, and each one is usually a unique piece
nubbins`: they're closer to color photocopies than anything
nubbins`: no, and in fact, i don't consider giclees "prints" in the traditional sense of the word
nubbins`: tat, i have much to say on the subject of prints

ThickAsThieves: but paying that much for a print is silly
