mod6: Thanks for the info and consideration, Sir.
mircea_popescu: anyway, you want to pro-rate his warrants, you can do that. you want to kick them off the sheet altogether, "didn't complete a term", you can also do that. you want to let them ride, "whatever, he can have the lot", you can also do that.
a111: Logged on 2018-09-06 02:25 ben_vulpes: i believe it's topologically identical to a call option that doesn't expire with a strike price of the "per share price".
mircea_popescu: http://btcbase.org/log/2018-09-06#1848266 << minus a whole pile of tax wank, just about. ☝︎
mircea_popescu: in any case, a ssw assignment is not the same as a cash payment.
mircea_popescu: mod6 you can do whatever you two want.
mod6: im so hungry i could eat a sandwich from the gas station
ben_vulpes: once you understand double entry accounting it's not so difficult; glad the documentation made your life easier.
mod6: It took some time, and I don't even begin to claim that I know -everything-, but I'm learning each time, and getting better at it. Kuddos to him for doing that.
mod6: I'd like to commend ben_vulpes on his instructions that he gave to Pizarro for how to do the monthly report. It really got me through it -- and made it easy.
ben_vulpes: i'm mock offended at the notion i'd let a liability kick around off sheet
mod6: Sorry for the bother.
mod6: yeah, it was the SSWs. Totally forgot.
mod6: I kinda had forgotten that we did shares. Just had it in my mind that we owed you 1 BTC as of Feb 1. or something.
mod6: Ok, so we're alright then eh - just wanna leave 'em on there.
ben_vulpes: i believe it's topologically identical to a call option that doesn't expire with a strike price of the "per share price". ☟︎
ben_vulpes: should i exercise them, the corporation takes in the btc i pay for them and adds them to the cap table.
mod6: oh i'm cocking this all up arnt i.
ben_vulpes: nono, warrants are the right to purchase shares from the corporation at a price.
mod6: *for you to just take
mod6: No, not at all. I just don't want it to go unanswered either. For insance, it'd be fine with me (asciilifeform?) to simply just take 41`666 shares instead. mircea_popescu can we do that?
ben_vulpes: mod6: i'm pretty sure that we're all squared up.
ben_vulpes: mod6: trying to give away btc or what
mod6: Take your time, doesn't have to be immediately or anything.
mod6: Hmm, well, I didn't want to just leave it out there forever, unanswered either. So, let me know what you want to do, and we'll discuss in here.
mod6: Oooh, I see what it is. In the charter you were to be assigned 100`000 SSW at a per share price of 0.00001 BTC each.
ben_vulpes: should probably just take the loot lest anyone accuse me of virtue signaling!
ben_vulpes: it's a sticky position, being stuck between my jewish scruples and having zero desire to ding the isp pointlessly.
mod6: Really? I'm almost certain that somewhere we said 1 BTC for doing the manager role.
ben_vulpes: not that i want to not get paid, but i don't recall a previous agreement
mod6: Does that seem fair?
mod6: That's what I was thinking ya. So instead of 1 BTC for a whole year, as previously agreed, we'd pay ya for the months that you served.
ben_vulpes: so mod6 you want to pay me for services already rendered?
mod6: very nice, thank you in advance.
BingoBoingo: Paperwork done, oping for it this week
mod6: How we doin with the drive shipment btw?
mod6: Also in the news, Pizarro has fully paid the "Wildcat Bonus" to BingoBoingo. The remainder was $2500. This has been shown on Pizarro statements in the "Fiat Liabilities" table. It will appear on the August statement as well. The payment was made September 1st. So look for that line to come off the fiat liabilities table when the September report is posted in early October.
mod6: Also, another bit of news: I've completed a draft of the Pizarro report. We're needed three more pieces of information and a second pair of eyes for review before it can be published. We're on it.
a111: Logged on 2018-09-05 14:21 asciilifeform: mod6: i have not forgotten your item; currently drowning in saecular liquishit, but expecting to get to it today
mod6: http://btcbase.org/log/2018-09-05#1847939 << np. thanks for the update. ☝︎
a111: Logged on 2018-09-05 16:40 asciilifeform: there are reportedly folx who want to somehow 'be' horses, or dogs, etc. also.
mod6: mircea_popescu: ah, well, I'll have him give it a try then.
mod6: The exception will be, I will invoice BingoBoingo myself as one can not invoice himself (at least, I don't think you can)?
mod6: BingoBoingo will begin sending out invoices within 24 hours, for the month of September. If you need a price quote before they go out, I can arrange that.
mod6: We have set a price point for the month at Pizarro as well, that price is: $6745 USD/BTC
mod6: I propose that's what we pay ben_vulpes for his services; five months, February through June. And, I propose a possible consulting fee for his assistance on the books going forward.
mod6: So that's: 0.41666667 BTC
mod6: He has accepted the rate of 1 BTC per year for this role.
mod6: In other news: Today is BingoBoingo's first day as Pizarro Manager. Congrats to him! We'll be working closely together to ensure a smooth transition over the next few months.
mod6: Lords and Ladies of TMSR~, the ML is back up and running. I just want to formally post the State of Bitcoin Address for August: http://therealbitcoin.org/ml/btc-dev/2018-September/000309.html
asciilifeform: btw interestingly, the most recent uboot ~builds~ on ave1's gnat, if one comments out the boobytrap. ( whether the resulting turd ~runs~, i do not yet know, but it builds without eggog)
asciilifeform: mircea_popescu: there's nuffin left in the old wood but the termites, and this ^ is what they look like. quite typical.
mircea_popescu: "Linux is the de facto standard operating system kernel at the core of leading products. Konsulko Group’s experience in embedded Linux architecture, development, build/CI, QA, and maintenance will help you speed your Linux-based products to market."
mircea_popescu: why ty.

trinque is hamstrung on some irl items atm, but will be working towards release this weekend if not sooner.
trinque: but that's certainly the way to go
trinque: no, that's way too ambitious for first release. first release is just a vtronic ebuild tree
asciilifeform: eventually we napalm the old portage/emerge.
trinque: asciilifeform: whatcha mean by vmerge tree?
asciilifeform: but will have to saw off the board support for rk3399, and weld onto it somehow.
a111: Logged on 2017-03-26 15:03 mp_en_viaje: basically a novel vector of imperial attack seems to be this "let's take republican items and ~EXPAND~ the downstream so that siberian river attack is then feasible".
asciilifeform: upstack, https://archive.is/WMoLv (warning: entomologists only) << the how&why of uboot 'gcc5+ only' idjicy. tldr: gcc5 silently broke uboot on arm. so the latter was 'fixed' so as to... ONLY gcc5+. in the now-customary way.
mircea_popescu: not here at any rate. it's in #eulora tho
asciilifeform: !Q later tell trinque how does cuntoo's work, does it have a 'vmerge' tree where e.g. ave1 can stuff his gnat, etc ? cuz that would rock.
asciilifeform: mircea_popescu: hollywood had it before, in 'no, mr bond! we expect you to DIE!!'
mircea_popescu: about as common experience of the contemporary mind as gods walking the earth.
mircea_popescu: asciilifeform this is pioneering internet work, as far as i know never before seen. 1. "here are your options" "omfg i am a special snowflake i won't take any of those" ; 2. "you have no options" "omfg i shoulds have some options!!" "you had."
asciilifeform: mircea_popescu: asciilifeform's collection of dun-works rivals that of any junkyard.
mircea_popescu: i'm just being intolerable for the sake of it. "good thing you have them, they don't work."
asciilifeform: mircea_popescu: i had'em for the ice40 thing, which demands such horrors as python3 etc
asciilifeform: even on the specially-designated toilet with gcc8 etc
mircea_popescu: good thing you have them.
asciilifeform: i.e. i was not able to build uboot on ANY of my boxen, even on the toilets where gcc5+ exists
asciilifeform: in other noose, trad-gentoo's crossdev is completely rotten nao, tries to build glibc-2.27 (which is broken, as it won't build with any version of 'ld' i was able to find, full stop) EVEN WHEN YOU CROSSDEV ....linux-musl !!
asciilifeform: ( supposing he had any moneys to start with, which is nearly unheard of )
asciilifeform: of course in usa 'hung jury' simply means that usg gets to rinse & repeat until desired result
a111: Logged on 2018-09-05 21:01 mircea_popescu: did you throw it all out ?
asciilifeform: http://btcbase.org/log/2018-09-05#1848124 << sure did. story is in the l0gz somewhere. ☝︎
mircea_popescu: http://trilema.com/2016/how-to-participate-in-the-affairs-of-the-most-serene-republic/ << updated, for the minutely minded.
mircea_popescu: neither anecdotes nor myths are a practicable basis for science ; but they're as fine a basis as there could be had for discussion.
mircea_popescu: if it were presented as a "true" story, like so many other items actually so presented on trilema, with documentation unassailable and so on, then it'd have counted for what, an anecdote ?
nicoleci: mircea_popescu, I can believe that a couple of rentacops sucked you off, but if it is not a true story - as you said (even in the title), then how does it all connect?
idint: ah okay, i understood what's you're about, just another typical deliberate cunts found on freenode.
mircea_popescu: teh age of "hi i am mario of so-and-so fiat concern" ended sometime this summer. talk to a lord, make yourself useful, #trilema is not open to the general public.
idint: should i stay on this channel if i am interested?
BingoBoingo: Topic: You have reached the public forum of The Most Serene Republic, a terrorist organisation dedicated to the creation of a safe space for the elites to productively defect to, leaving the pantsuit stranded behind. If you'd like to help see http://trilema.com/2016/how-to-participate-in-the-affairs-of-the-most-serene-republic/ . This channel is logged.
idint: yes i am concerned about privacy questions and would like to know what's this channel is about
BingoBoingo: idint: Do you have any questions for the group? Otherwise we can carry out the getting to know you chat in #agriculturalsupremacy
BingoBoingo: mircea_popescu: There is, #agriculturalsupremacy
mircea_popescu: BingoBoingo is there a #bingo ?
BingoBoingo: Tomé un leccion de Español esta tarde
BingoBoingo: Estoy tranquilo
nicoleci: diana_coman, ahh good point. ill keep that in mind, if i ever do find someone who can read the text
diana_coman: nicoleci, it might help to start looking at it from the other end: figure out what makes an effective policeman in the given context, compare it with what the "exam" actually tests even in the best case and then see how it fits otherwise with reality in the field; then again, I guess finding someone to read that 1 post might be faster at least
mircea_popescu: the many blessings of illiteracy -- drives one to make friends, for instance.
nicoleci: hmm... and now ill have to have someone read that to me..
mircea_popescu: it's not speaking to female capacity ; women can certainly be my enforcers to great benefit, for instance. but as far as the "ourdemocracy" state is concerned, women very much can't be useful policemen ; not just because of the obvious http://trilema.com/wp-content/themes/trilema/images/antifa.gif but also because say http://trilema.com/2010/poveste-neadevarata/
a111: Logged on 2018-09-05 16:42 mircea_popescu: diana_coman do you recall the complaint of the police a few years ago that "you've got all these written exams, now we're stuck making police agents out of girlies, god help us" ?
