mircea_popescu: inasmuch
as people are involved, there's no such thing
as waste.
artifexd: So... gmaxwell is harassing the conformal guys about how they developed btcd. It comes across
as so... I don't know... petty.
mircea_popescu: i hope you won't be spelling my name
as mirceau once i'm dead or some shit.
mircea_popescu: and mike_c : downin' ain't the same thing
as just ignoring it.
joecool: i wonder if it's just picking up a t-mobile ip

robwhiz22: Yes, I would have expected you to see them when I came in here to follow up (
as that was the only reply I received from Mr. Popescu).

joecool: nubbins`: tbh i'm fine with HSPA coverage so long

bounce:
as in, how you implemented it.
benkay: bounce is being unclear
as to whether asking to be rated or asking gribble for the ratings of people.
fluffypony: Speaking of - bitcointalk's trust system is fundamentally broken - it's not a web if you only see one part of it. Are there any tools to express bitcointalk trust
as a relationship model
as with the wot?
fluffypony: And why ;;gettrust has superseded it
as default (despite being used by all who understood the wot previously)
benkay: the only leaning that happens is backwards

Mats_cd03: spouting some garbage and business and social vectors
as an attack against the cardano?
cgcardona_: mircea_popescu: been wondering how that all works. will check that out
as well. thx
robwhiz22: asciilifeform, I will include an analysis of whether you can rely on your chip design which cannot be reflashed over USB,
as part of the first part (the Cardano A full document).
robwhiz22: fluffypony,
as mircea_popescu and asciilifeform have shown by slipping 4 months on their delivery schedule, it is extremely difficult to bring a security product to market. Plus, it's their idea. It really would be better for them to have the proposals for their consideration. I suppose they can also share in here if they want wider feedback.
robwhiz22: well, mircea_popescu has said in channel that he put me on ignore (a strange reaction after inviting me in here.)
As I presume he and the chief engineer make joint decisions, the only way the investors in s.nsa will have the benefits of the new design, and corrections to the existing design, is if they pay for them
as part of supporting their investment. ("Adding value", so they say.)
fluffypony: Guys if anyone is interested I'm selling my report on why robwhiz22's report is wrong for the low price of $20 000 in BTC up-front. If I get more than 3 buyers I'll include a copy of his report
as well.
robwhiz22: asciilifeform, and you are the same kind of "engineer"
as the ones who promise a perpetual motion machine and take investment for it from people they dupe. How does this help the conversatoin?
robwhiz22: asciilifeform,
as mentioned ad hominem attacks don't improve a design. I can say that usually, companies will have several iterations of completely internal design proposals that htey will consider. I've never heard of a company that wanted to ship products thta would have wanted proposals (even from consultants etc) to be public in this way.
mircea_popescu: nubbins` i would guess you qualify
as what they call a facilitator.
bounce: the existence of elites, at least the part where some people are regarded
as "better" than others in some sort of fancy or other, is not bad by and of itself. the problems arise (and I'd surmise egalitarians' complaints partly stem from this) when people work on shutting out other people on essentially arbitrary grounds so
as to, well, keep the thing exclusive in ways quite disconnected from the original merit
mircea_popescu: bounce you could encapsulate this
as a webservice, incidentally.
bounce: it'd be more efficient to output records
as the first number changes, but this was faster. a small change in printing would save a loop a bit lower. that sort of thing.
