_dushenski: jurov: i can see it. and while i agree there would be trade-offs (less reliability, more difficulty find parts perhaps), i think that the benefits would more than compensate and that product designers would adapt themselves accordingly (eg. making repairs possible without specialised equipment and using more readily available parts)
