usagi: It's not fair to people who bought in at 1 that you would be allowed to buy in at 1 now and get a 2% div tomorrow.

usagi: I can't believe Nefario let TIMESHAREAFRICA list. They're not a member of VOASA and are not licensed to do what they're doing. It's an obvious scam.

Diablo-D3: but its a small wafer size combined with a large node size
Diablo-D3: 130nm, you might be able to swing a single wafer print
agath: first run will be a MPW
mircea_popescu: look, frankly : there's many problems potentially with a chip design. you have to check for resonances, for all sorts of problems. "a design" anyone can make. one that's valid and has a good rate is expensive. that aside, you have minimum chip runs, and the cost per chip is nothing like the cost per cd or such.
agath: BTW diablo already knows a bit about me...
Diablo-D3: because if its a small wafer size, thats quite possible
mircea_popescu: CAUSE ITS A FUCKING IMPORTANT POINT
mircea_popescu: "o, the talk host is the hard part but if you're talented like i think i am it doesn't matter that it's a de facto monopoly and nobody will run your shitty show"

mircea_popescu: it costs more to buy a used car.
EskimoBob: I did look at the thread but I can show you funky images too and tell: this is a ASIC or what ever :)
EskimoBob: he has some type of prototype and I guess this gets somehow transformed to a real chip "something" and then they can print like mad.
EskimoBob: if those guy pull it off, it will be cool but I have no idea how complicated it actually is do design a ASIC chip for btc mining. Can just 3 guys do it like that?
mircea_popescu: that has got to be a troll.
EmanuelDeOrtego: So we're stuck over 10 for a good long time
gribble: A market order to buy 9000 bitcoins right now would take 112268.0078 USD and would take the last price up to 12.9890 USD, resulting in an average price of 12.4742 USD/BTC.

projectshifter: we're in the process of working on some deals with a couple investors who are wanting to get in, we were debating at looking at some different options, was curious if there were businesses successfully doing it with btc and what the appeal actually was
EskimoBob: projectshifter: sure there is a way and is not that complicated.
projectshifter: interesting. i feel like i'm missing a piece of how a regular company could take in btc investment capital and what makes it appealing over traditional forms
EskimoBob: mircea_popescu: I bet you have never even seen a trading floor
projectshifter: lol, i was wondering if a regular business could successfully take investment capital from btc

BTC-Mining: First the guy gets a lot of ratings on small transactions... then he gets more trust from reputable member with some unkown "high yield venture"... Now after getting so much trust, I hear he opens accounts to public... then right after he close operation, huge sale on MtGox, and he says to wait a week and he'll reimburse...
BTC-Mining: Might well be. No proof, but the whole going felt like a ponzi.
BTC-Mining: As far as I'm concerned, those invested in pirate should complain to MtGox now and not wait a week.
BTC-Mining: Says he'll return funds in about a week (Full Price). Large price drop on MtGox around the time he made the announcement...
assbot: Requesting data from GLBSE (might take a while).

smickles: click that link and you'll get a table with rows of strikes
