I'd say that it's MNW getting ready for an appearance on a korean TV show as the guess foreigner

I can't say...
nefario: like if
I run more than one app server
nefario:
I don't see how transactions handle concurrent access to a resource that shouldn't be ..concurrently accessed
agath: but
I don't know anything more than what
I can see from the web service so
I think
I can't give you any hint,
I guess you know better.. :-)

BTCHero:

BTC-Mining:
I wouldn't mind helping along others do that
BTCHero:
I reset my password and
i still can't get in
nefario: In testing
I didn't have any issues with deadlock
BTC-Mining:
I mean, with an actual backup of current GLBSE state put on a testing servers and letting us know, we could further mess with multiple transactions.
BTC-Mining:
I supposed so, but seems we still encountered issues
nefario: when
I moved it to the current machine
nefario: BTC-Mining:
I did, you don't think that

Lethe: nefario: internal server error when
I try to buy GSDPT
smickles:
i think an individual company could do something like:
mircea_popescu: ya, there's some guy developing something like that,
i even donated
smickles: and if the share isn't removed from availability to sell on the exchange, the proof of ownership at time X is meaningless, 'cause
i could sell it at time X + .01
smickles: mircea_popescu: if an exchange offered it, what happens if
i sign my share to two different people at the same time?
smickles: rdponticelli:
i've come to the conclusion that if you want that, each individual issuer is going to have to do that, keep a record of who has the proper claim on a share, and not be listed on an exchange of the current nature
Obsi: Sounds good,
I'll hang around to pay divs, thanks
gabbynot:
i gambled a bit on some cheap PPT bonds…it'd be cool if they actually pay off

I think GLBSE was set up properly at the core. It's now rolling out new features
BTC-Mining: But
I'm pretty sure it was no hack... the way it's been handled...
BTC-Mining:
I mean, you would get more people. The only reason you get large volumes and big investors taking the time to do it is because of the quality of companies you allow on the platform. Plus the options.
mircea_popescu: ya
i guess it depends what they're used to, but prolly most wouldn't.
smickles: mircea_popescu: Am
i missing something, or are you saying mpex is an EXCHANGE, not a BROKER?
BTC-Mining:
I'm saying if you'd improve the UI, you'd bring more people to MPEX and at the same time need more processing power for each user.
maximian: mircea: not the complete history -
I have to keep track of it myself
mircea_popescu: BTC-Mining you have any ideea how much traffic
i handle ?
mircea_popescu: and it's not even that
i have a problem with the guy trying.
BTC-Mining: It's NOT ok to have bugs in production software,
I'll have to approve that.
BTC-Mining:
I'm saying you could at least try to add new features and show you can do it without any bugs before criticizing.
BTC-Mining: This update happens to be implemented on Mpex. But there's not that many features as far as
I know on Mpex.
smickles: ciuciu:
i think he still has you on ignore
smickles: BTC-Mining:
i'll add the ui to mpex
smickles:

i'm 'passing thru' more than 100 btc ??!
