mircea_popescu: pizzaman1337 i see a ton of unconfirmed stuff
ThickAsThieves: ok the options i have for sale should be showing now
mircea_popescu: i'll bet you a 50k btc straight sell takes it under 100 atm
mircea_popescu: i dont recall what the command is, but it tells you where priceends up
ThickAsThieves: jurov, not sure if you're aware already but I have some sell orders that seem to be hung up
gesell: i doubt a whale could crash it either. the best you could hope for is a ddos :P
mircea_popescu: how come i don't see them ?!
error4733: "i short btc @ 35$" poor poor guy
gribble: Bugpowder was last seen in #bitcoin-assets 37 minutes and 53 seconds ago: <Bugpowder> I recommend 0.8 for the C137Ts.
ThickAsThieves: i have a 2nd large deposit already going to you tho
Namworld: Which is exactly why I didn't buy...
Namworld: If I had been putting ALL my money in calls each month since the beggining I'd probably have like 20k BTC by now or something >.>
jurov: btw if someone is funding coinbr with large sum and i'm around, ask me for direct deposit to mpex
taub: i called it
Namworld: I wonder when we'll be at the "IT'S OVER 9000!!!" point... with everyone repeating that of course.
jurov: not yet, i just sent some deposits over to mpex
jcpham: i think it has 2 months of fuel left at least
ThickAsThieves: i'm surprised APR sold
jurov: i didn't put much into bonds myself. but i'm being MPBPT operator here
jurov: i'm agitated about the call part of oix :)
mircea_popescu: why am i assuming ?
jurov: i mean, isn't it so unreasonable to assume March will possibly repeat, and do valuation adjustment?
pgp: mp: agreed gox is retarded - i'll bet that there system does funding check on every execution - it explains a lot and is consistent with their press release...
jurov: how many short calls are there, not many i daresay.
pgp: mp: regardng gox. If I have a funded buy order and an unfunded sell order for same amount and yet another unfunded buy order unde my funded buy order, then when first buy order gets triggered then sell order now becomes funded, no? and when sell gets executed the second buy order now become funded....
Bugpowder: I recommend 0.8 for the C137Ts.
pgp: I don't... just was reading their t&c's...
pgp: i see - you've tried, then?
mircea_popescu: pgp i still don't see what changes. when money comes in order is moved into active.
pgp: mp: I agree they shouldn't, but if their system is built around the idea of allowing unfunded order to be promoted to funded orders, that would occur no just when money comed in or out, but for those making two sided markets as well...
jurov: mircea_popescu: as a representative of bondholders i request you to increase price on calls
jurov: seems i can completely close MPBPT :(
pgp: let's say that I have funded buys and sell in gox and unfunded buys and sell, doesn't an execution on one side force them to check all the orders on the other side for same person?
Bugpowder: I think the number needs to go up to support the current price though
Scrat: pgp: I doubt thats the culprit. that would allow anyone to turn captchas into gox lag
pgp: that gox press release was just as I suspected... doing some sort of recursive credit check for unfunded orders...
jurov: and i thought it will abandon the parabolic(or even exponential) rise.. not yet
mircea_popescu: not out of need, but since data should have been plotting and isn't i thought worth the mention
taub: I sold
jurov: MJR_, Scrat: I also have request limiter set up, caused regular users to get 503 error till i tuned it up
MJR_: Scrat: I need to do more research, but it is outgoing that will run up the bill...you can throttle that based on a bunch of heuristics
Scrat: MJR_: yeah I'm not saying otherwise, but in that case the objective of the attacker is to slap you with a $100k ec2 bill
MJR_: Scrat: i think btctc.co had an implementation to stop that, force a 3 second + redirect to the actual resource
MJR_: Scrat: but you will incur more costs as you bring up more servers to handle the CPU side of the DDOS, I was mostly worried about the network hardware side
MJR_: mircea_popescu: that is what i was thinking, building out infrastructure now, and that came up...i'm a big fan of having instances running and waiting to be failed over to. Last design issue I wanted to think about is an "airgap" solution for something that is in the cloud...

jcpham: i mean you guys can't determine if there ar 6 of us scrambling like monkeys trading
jcpham: me myself and i
Bugpowder: should I roll the calls over to 400s
taub: i think mtgox is just manipulating price or is using the lag/pause to their advantages to front run etc
