ThickAsThieves: :)
ThickAsThieves: like other investors?
ThickAsThieves: haha
ThickAsThieves: AM was a tricky call, mostly because they didnt deliver a gen2 fast enough
ThickAsThieves: .425 for me
ThickAsThieves: nubbins thats coincidentally about where i started
ThickAsThieves: hehe
ThickAsThieves: if you wanna gamble they have sites for that
ThickAsThieves: just be careful to distinguish investment decisions from gambling urges
ThickAsThieves: well you can always take the simple route and hold bitcoins
ThickAsThieves: thats the thing every single one of us has probly left tons of money on the table
ThickAsThieves: dont take pieces out of the puzzle to selectively pretend youd have done the ideal thing
ThickAsThieves: you cnat think like that
ThickAsThieves: being the "next AM" now inludes a violent fall in share price

ThickAsThieves: i own some of them myself
ThickAsThieves: mind you i'm not arguing that mpex or its securities are bad
ThickAsThieves: a lot less
ThickAsThieves: there is less anonymity
ThickAsThieves: in mpex's case
ThickAsThieves: when anonymity is rampant
ThickAsThieves: but to the buyer they are no worse than a contract
ThickAsThieves: many broke them on the "play" exchanges
ThickAsThieves: most assets had a prospectus with (somewhat) clear boundaries
ThickAsThieves: these issues are shared across all exchanges
ThickAsThieves: a un-audited financial report does not stop a business from lying
ThickAsThieves: a contract doesnt preclude an issuer or business from breaking the contract
ThickAsThieves: and it doesnt mean that investors can blindly trust either
ThickAsThieves: but that doesnt make most mpex securities good invetsments itself
ThickAsThieves: maybe statistically
ThickAsThieves: at its core, an mpex security is not inherently more secure for investor, but the platform is better than most, maybe all, in that sense
ThickAsThieves: and most likely will go all of them
ThickAsThieves: it can go a few ways
ThickAsThieves: the larger question here might be, what is the future of bitcoin-denominated securities overall
ThickAsThieves: sure
ThickAsThieves: and that there are now less places for me to do business in the ways we did before
ThickAsThieves: bad, of course in that many people are "losing money" in the process,
ThickAsThieves: and overall tempering the space as a whole
ThickAsThieves: Good in that it is culling many sour assets, pushing some to more fringe exchanges
ThickAsThieves: BTCT and BF closing is both good and bad.
ThickAsThieves: Well, at first we felt it affected us a lot, but in the end we are what we are regardless of the environment around us. As long as that environment exists, we will adapt to thrive in it.
ThickAsThieves: You'd probably need to be more specific
