asciilifeform: BingoBoingo: re: your x11 wm post: the funny thing is, i originally grew fond of 'ratpoison' wm precisely because, years ago, as student, i used an uncommonly small laptop.

pankkake: I have a hard time rembemering faces
Namworld: I think he mentioned at some point the provably fair system for PrimeDice would be modified for a 4th version of the website, but eh
Namworld: I'll admit a 100% flawless system is probably not possible... but the PrimeDice implementation is far from even being half-right.
Mats_cd03: maybe I've misunderstood something here
Namworld: I'm talking strictly users side.
Namworld: Oh, I mean for players. That's an issue but only for investors.
Namworld: Technically I think there's many smaller places that gives a new server seed before each bet... but that's a poor system.
Namworld: Yeah, as I said, a properly done provably fair system doesn't prevent cheating/stealing. It just makes it impossible to do without the possibility of getting caught.
Namworld: That's left to opinion. Isn't bad as far as I care.
Namworld: I'm saying PrimeDice implementation is poor. They could be cheating right now, it would be impossible to notice, even if everyone verified and tracked all their bets.
punkman: was just trying PrimeDice, this happened twice already: I bet, balance updates, bet doesn't show in My Bets list
Namworld: Or as a competitor, should I leave that to others? hmm...
Namworld: So, PrimeDice still isn't provably fair... Should I bother calling Stunna on it until he fixes it?
moiety: the guys head is going to melt when i give him that sentence, i can feel it
moiety: but i am right in telling them the actual batteries are attached to the device, right?
BingoBoingo: I've never had trouble shipping anywhere.
pankkake: this is why I hate to receive/send stuff internionally

BingoBoingo: Comments from the loper blog now make me think of http://www.templeos.org/Wb/Accts/TS/Wb2/TempleOS.html when I think of successors to the ancient Mac OS legacy
BingoBoingo: One dilema I ponder on sometimes is whether the beauty of the ancient macs was due to the talent of the developers, or due to the beauty of 68k assembly.
BingoBoingo: I've never really done much with C though, haven't done anything with C on an ancient Mac. Problems that tend to push me to finally string together some code tend to be further up the stack.
BingoBoingo: I've look at Mac OS 6-7.5.1 dev tools, but... That route tends to lead to shitty implementations of pascal or resedit and 68k assembly
BingoBoingo: That's a good question. I actually don't know if there are any good tools for it.
asciilifeform: BingoBoingo: i meant - traditional C
