today!
thestringpuller: congrats Namworld you have completely
turned Bitvps around
Namworld: I
think BitVPS shares were already priced with full dividend value all along.
KRS1: Get on
that XBOND fools
Graet: probably,
they are investing in a rental property
thing and a irl gold mioning company
Diablo-D3: do you
think people in bitcoin would invest in a large scale green energy project
wavedigit: for example, if 1 btc would get worth 1000 dollars by
tomorrow, what
then?
wavedigit: ThickAsThieves: how does
the bond price relate
to
the USD appreciation of bitcoin?
ThickAsThieves: assuming I made no money with
the money in
the interim
ThickAsThieves: KRS1, if everyone wants
to redeem all at once,
then I profit on
the 95% redemption
Diablo-D3: (from a purely
technical perspective, I agree with
their assessment on cloud computing)
Diablo-D3: since
there is a narrow window into which
to get
that done, and
the next cloud boom wont be for another 2-3 years
Diablo-D3: Ive also been advised
to do
the energy company first
KRS1: i
took strategic management in school- so like..if you have an energy company one company would be complimentary
to
the other by providing it electricity at a huge cost savings...its like
the cab company buying
the repair shop next door for its fleet
KRS1: more equity
than req'd
Diablo-D3: Ive been advised by people who are a lot smarter about business
than I am (and I respect
their opinion greatly)
that DMC 2.0 should be split into
two different companies
KRS1: one question..if
that money is being put
to work, what if everyone all of a sudden wants
to redeem
ThickAsThieves: my job is
to put
that money
to work
to make a larger
than 18.25% annual gain
ThickAsThieves: the idea is
that XBOND has enough utility
to make it
that much more liquid and usable
ThickAsThieves: now, I have more equity
than is required
to back
the current amount as well
wavedigit: who's debt is it?
TAT's? So when someone wants
to recall (it's called like
that?) some of
the shares in face value
then basically
TAT has
to borrow some btc?
thestringpuller: he pays interest on
the debt,
then you can
trade
the bond back for your principal
wavedigit: but what is it backed by? just
the btc
that other people gave for
the bonds or
TAT's own btc?
thestringpuller: but because it backed by 95% face value at any
time (5% being
the cost of liquidity), it's meant
to be held for a long period of
time
wavedigit: so I'm usually unaware of
these kinds of
things
thestringpuller: so ideally you want
to hold
the bond like a savings account and liquidate either yearly or semi-yearly, and add
the interest gained
to your cashflow
thestringpuller: if you redeem for 95% value you have
to wait for 100+ days of dividends for it
to pay itself off
thestringpuller: if it
trades above
those are people scalping
the market and at
that point you should sell if you want
to liquidate
thestringpuller: as I said you can redeem each bond for 95% face value with
the issuer (TATI)
wavedigit: so what happens if it doesn't sell at face value, but sells below
that
thestringpuller: TATI will pay you 95% of
the face value at any
time for redemption
to liquid BTC
KRS1: isnt
there always a
trade-off between liquidity and profitability
thestringpuller: which means you have
to wait 100 days before it pays itself off after redemption
wavedigit: liquidity = people keep buying
those bonds?
thestringpuller: he should just give me access
to his private journal and black books so I can market make for him on Bitfunder :P
saulimus: hm, my btct portfolio simply says "Error: invalid
ticker name. Capitals, numbers, periods, and dashes only please."
