dexX7: hm. if you have a choice (e.g. using fiat instead of coins), i agree. if it's foreseeable that they rise more, i'd probably hold, too. but you don't know it for sure thus i assume there will be some balance at where people start to spend/stop to hold
pankkake: one argument is computers: they are better and cheaper every day. still people buy them because they need to have computers

When I asked him what he thinks about bitcoin as an alternative currency of an economy he replied pretty fast that due to his limited character it would have the same deflation problem as gold had in the earlier days causing several financial crisis in earlier days!
