jurov: so today i found out TAT is more addicted to this chan than me
fluffypony: with this I'm probably just going to get a /28 and separate bindings out, that way if an IP is null-routed it doesn't affect the rest of them
artifexd: Yeah. The key does seem to be having the server doing the work not directly accessible from the internet.
fluffypony: artifexd: the problem is that this particular server will always be discoverable, as it runs a bunch of altcoin wallets, so anyone traversing nodes to DDoS a particular scamcoin will come across it
artifexd: Worth it, imo. Still, it does take up a lot of time. BE AWARE! ;)
artifexd: The problem with trilema credits is the investment in time. Reading becomes a very large time investment.
artifexd: The problem with trilema credits isn't the investment in btc. That's pretty trivail.
cgcardona_: i guess I should just submit and order a bunch of trilema credits

fluffypony: artifexd: yeah that
fluffypony: and cancelled the DDoS protection bullshit
fluffypony: and I told them that it sounds an awful lot like security through obscurity
fluffypony: so I asked them why I was paying for DDoS protection when it relies on an attacker never knowing the server's main IP ever under any circumstances
fluffypony: open a support ticket and get told that because the main IP is null-routed the DDoS protected IP can't proxy to it
fluffypony: so today it gets DDoS'd and they null-route the main IP, and HTTPS on that 2nd IP isn't working
fluffypony: they give me a secondary IP that will proxy traffic and still be available during a DDoS
fluffypony: so that HTTPS can still get through
fluffypony: it gets DDoS'd occasionally, so I added DDoS protection on a single port for that server
fluffypony: I had a fight with one of the DCs that host a server for me today
fluffypony: speaking of that
artifexd: Put that ink in your printer and make a super sekrit paper wallet.
cgcardona_: my son was just opening some easter presents and he got a pen which writes in ink which only shows up when you shine a little black light which is hidden in the cap onto the paper. Kid spy gear

Duffer1: that thing must be worth millions
fluffypony: not a tuna
fluffypony: my brain hurts imagining a fish being that size...when I think in those proportions I expect it to be a whale or a shark or a dolphin or something
Duffer1: i don't recall how long ago, but they talked about fishing truly massive tuna's off the coast during a certain time of year
fluffypony: bluefin tuna, live weight of 415kg and a gutted weight of 361kg
fluffypony: that is a tuna fish
kakobrekla: that thing has negative value.

cgcardona_: but I don't see myself going throught that trouble
cgcardona_: of course I could probably just book the tix and then cancel them if I don't get the visa.
cgcardona_: in the case of china yes
FabianB: you need plane tickets and hotel for the visa forms
cgcardona_: i'm unclear on if I can get a visa and I don't want to take a wash on the btc.
cgcardona_: and fwiw I'm bailing on the china plan. I cant book the plane tickets and hotel before applying for a visa

assbot: [HAVELOCK] [B.MINE] [PAID] 3.09858000 BTC to 8`600 shares, 36030 satoshi per share
fluffypony: TestingUnoDosTre: if you have that much to throw around will you be sensible?
