Xplosionist: I did that, last week. I should be good on that.
asciilifeform: Xplosionist: https://freenode.net/faq.shtml (under 'user registration') - only needs to be done once
PantyHotOffThePr: As in everyday activities, or in relation to tits? :P Just testin' the waters, felt like being a lil adventurous so I created that reddit account.
Xplosionist: ";;eauth value-of-turd" yields that.
mircea_popescu: PantyHotOffThePr so what do you do, other than reddit ?
Xplosionist: No go, gribble says Error: This nick is not registered. Please register.
asciilifeform: Xplosionist: the url contains just a random turd, encrypted to your pgp key. gribble wants the value of the turd, when it gets it - you're authed.
mircea_popescu: nubbins` well you know, tis for teh republic.
mircea_popescu: FabianB it's being tested since last night. hopefully all is well.
nubbins`: digital prints or silkscreen? design part of it comes down to how nice you want 'em to look
asciilifeform: Xplosionist: simple: first, ';;gpg eauth yourname' - then, 'wget -q -O - http://bitcoin-otc.com/otps/YOURKEYID | gpg -q --output - --decrypt' and paste result into ';;eauth resultgoeshere' (msg to gribble)
mike_c: yeah, i got your gribble. it's an interesting idea, I'll think through it.
PantyHotOffThePr: sorry it took so long
mircea_popescu: nubbins` anyway, how much to design, print a batch of say 50 and ship it ?
mircea_popescu: but not tell them anythng about it :D
mircea_popescu: maybe be a total asshole and give them btc for xmas IF THEY SHOW YOU THE POSTER
Xplosionist: I'm reading http://wiki.bitcoin-otc.com/wiki/GPG_authentication. There are a few examples, and it's hard to follow, but I rememebr last week following the one that said to paste the response to some site (pastebin or the like) and use said url to verify.
nubbins`: if you're leaving them in rental units, they're essentially disposable. straight in the trash on day one. not much use laminating
asciilifeform: Xplosionist: try self-voicing now
Xplosionist: k, then I have to paste the results into some url, rather than to gribble. Bleah. k.
mircea_popescu: nubbins` what do you figure, best to what, laminate them ?
the20year: This Christmas though I plan on giving every unit bitcoin
mircea_popescu: it's a deal then.
mircea_popescu: that url is also fixed, being your key. you'll just have to ping gribble to refresh it any time prior to use.
gribble: Error: For identification purposes, you must be authenticated to use the rating system.
mircea_popescu: shit look at that mike_c, over 30 weekly game.
mircea_popescu: !up the20year
mircea_popescu: let's see if something can be worked out here. nubbins` would you design a great A4 "what is bitcoin" poster ? and if he does, the20year would you put one in every unit ?
mircea_popescu: asciilifeform well, to you and me, yes.
mircea_popescu: PantyHotOffThePr ok, put 477ad8a6 on your tits, take a pic. here's a good example for you : http://log.bitcoin-assets.com/?date=04-07-2014#744684 ☝︎
PantyHotOffThePr: Got into this relatively recently
asciilifeform: mircea_popescu: parody article << 'rather than dayjobs you talk about people needing to be “hungry and desperate” and stuff like that connotes to me this very strong emotional' << as if this had to go from emotion. 'people need to be hungry and desperate' is as much a technical statement as 'million volt bus bars must be spaced at least one metre apart.'
mircea_popescu: PantyHotOffThePr ok, so got a link to your prev work ?
mircea_popescu: the20year that's nice for sure. but seems these are different demos

mircea_popescu: PantyHotOffThePr well this has actualy been discussed, in the logs. let's see here.
mircea_popescu: can be something as simple as a "Here's what Bitcoin is" leaflet left in the units.
PantyHotOffThePr: I'm guessing now's a good a time as any though huh? If you don't mind me asking, why start this up?
the20year: Not yet, but we're planning on it, the big thing to get people into BTC will be our investor relation system that's coming up
PantyHotOffThePr: Well that would be me as well, I just figured I'd eyeball a bit first. Seemed there was a discussion going on and I didn't want to be the asshole that just jumps in like "Yo, tit pic sale?"
mircea_popescu: the20year hey, do you have a bitcoin education tenant program ?
nubbins`: 12 hours later, lady from the folk festival emails asking for a quote ;(
mircea_popescu: PantyHotOffThePr a nm, just keeping an eye for the people trying to sell me their tit pics.
nubbins`: "hey, see how shitty digital prints can get? try waterproof pink eye posters"
nubbins`: i decide to take a photo and share it via pink eye
PantyHotOffThePr: Oh sorry, was lurkin then looked at another tab. What up?

mike_c: benkay: you stuck an extra 0 in there
benkay: am i doing that correctly?
benkay: you're telling me that RENT is trading at less than a tenth of NAV?
gribble: Bitstamp BTCUSD ticker | Best bid: 621.0, Best ask: 621.53, Bid-ask spread: 0.53000, Last trade: 622.73, 24 hour volume: 3349.68478218, 24 hour low: 617.7, 24 hour high: 632.56, 24 hour vwap: 625.607716087

mircea_popescu: danielpbarron i think he also has kids your age.
