diametric: mircea_popescu: thats probably
a good idea to start doing. perhaps keep it on
a usb stick on my keys or something, gets updated when i plug it in.
mircea_popescu: diametric: I have to admit, its annoying getting

BingoBoingo: benkay: Nah, storage capacities are growing too fast and have too much of
a head start. It will probably fit on
a single hard drive for at least another decade. It's just... Parsing the block chain as
a full node will probably require more thoroughput than
a single drive offers.
Namworld: We will probably reach usage saturation and blockchain will grow too slowly compared to storage doubling in capacity much before blockchain doesn't fit in
a single recent consumer grade drive.
benkay: i imagine you're just
a random joe not in the web of trust, hdbuck ?
benkay: you don't need
a blockchain to accept/send btc.
Namworld: It might be
a problem for
a short while. Assuming we reach saturation of usage, it might grow almost linearly, at least compared to storage capacity growth. Even if population growth and associated usage is exponential, the exponent is much lower than storage growth.
benkay: blockchain monotonically increases in size. this is
a fact of reality.

a fee for finding out when x bet resolves : he sends
a bet to
a virgin address
punkman: anyway why not charge
