rithm: that's the rumor
i heard on twitter
rithm:
I MISSED YOU AND
I'M SO SAD NOW
BingoBoingo: asciilifeform> BingoBoingo, mp_a_colonia: where
i live, pawn shops are very peculiar places, where nothing is priced remotely close to what any sane person would pay. probably just cash laundries. << College towns tend to have saner pricing. Mix of broke students with nice stuff from their relatives and people who want bling, but can't pay mall prices.
BingoBoingo: mp_a_colonia: Doing a bit of research. Also that thing where
I may be relocating sometime this month. A stable shipping address would be helpful.
BingoBoingo: <mp_a_colonia> BingoBoingo: Honestly given enough pawn shop visits the most impressive pieces can be foun for ~$100-200 (Movados without the retarded Museum dial and others) << you know this could be a great business for you ? <<
I've considered such things.
benkay: <mp_a_colonia> benkay: the girl's recently gotten rather militant about our sleep schedules -
i'm interested in the topic at large. << which way ? // early to bed, early to rise...
mp_a_colonia: and
i ngeneral the press'd better figure it out too. if it can';t collect a btc in bitbet bets it ain't news, nor does it matter for bitcoin.
mp_a_colonia: "ThickAsThieves: traders are behind mike_c,
i can tell you thatg" << might depend which you know.
mp_a_colonia: asciilifeform:
i just don't get it. people keep asking to bake 'democracy' in << suppose there's a class of 16 year olds. the girls are all hormonal, the boys are all eunuchs save one.
mp_a_colonia: "
i KNOW it's a construction, stop trying to lie to me" sort of thing
mp_a_colonia: BingoBoingo, oddly enough
i actually like the tick seconds, dislike smooth watches.
mp_a_colonia: mike_c: at least he's not getting gold embossed business cards :p << omfg
i go to take the bishes to the beash for ONE DAY, the whole operation's in shambles
RainMan28:
I am sure he will eventually get someone
mp_a_colonia:

mp_a_colonia: pankkake:
I was more implying ponygirl. but well < win.
nubbins`: mp,

nubbins`:

mp_a_colonia: lol @this troll log omg.
I WAS AT NO POINT ON A PONY
mp_a_colonia: ThickAsThieves: maybe theyll email it out by mistake << o
i thought
i was the only one that didn;t get emailed the result yet.
mp_a_colonia: only time
i had the thing was in egypt and they were kinda regimented aobut using glass
fluffypony:
I normally grab an extra-large can because paranoia - does a normal size work ok?
nubbins`: usually

fluffypony: nubbins`:
I love making beer-can chicken
mp_a_colonia: rithm:
i'm pretty excited about that << o ya ? im downegragting ytou when
i get to the mothership!!1
pankkake: also,
I don't see a situation where
I would lose my gpg key but not the bitcoin address
pankkake: perhaps
I should add it to gribble, though
I don't want it as an authentification mechanism
fluffypony: good point -
I suppose the only time
I pay attention to sigs is when
I'm looking for something
pankkake:
I've put mines in profiles and bottom of READMEs
pankkake:
I just feel like the one in the signature is too obnoxious and might actually reduce donations
fluffypony: pankkake:
I enjoyed their post and then found their donation address from their profile or from their signature
pankkake: fluffypony: yes, but was it because of the signature?
I've got some donations, but that was not from that, and the donators made themselves known
fluffypony: pankkake:
I've donated to gmaxwell and a couple of others who have made particularly insightful posts
fluffypony:
I get the feeling he comes from wealth, which could lead to the "trying to get daddy's approval" complex
fluffypony: meh, mp_a_colonia, those threads sound like the typical eccentric stuff
I gloss over for lack of caring - anyone who has a large amount of money (and a relatively large amount of Bitcoin) is allowed to be a bit weird.
I definitely think that all is not well upstairs, in the truest sense of the words, but that doesn't make him an outrightly threatening (by virtue of the power they wield) or dangerous (by virtue of ignorance) individual.
mp_a_colonia:
i don't have the "right" to free speech.
i merely speak freely.
mp_a_colonia:
i accept no such thing.
i have my freedom, and
i'll force it down the throat of anyone getting in th reway.
pankkake:
I forgot what the term is, but you have two ways to define rights; positive or negative. "you may do everything except X" vs. "you may do nothing except X"
mp_a_colonia: pankkake, re oyur latest post : grants of rights don't build freedom, grants of rights build slavery. it's on trilema somewhere but
i don't recall where.
fluffypony: mp_a_colonia: not much,
I tried searching the logs for Risto's name and bitcointalk username, but didn't stumble across anything special except general lelz
mp_a_colonia: fluffypony,
i dunno how much of the history you know
fluffypony: mp_a_colonia:
I avoided the sauna, although the outdoors hottub was great when it got a little chilly
fluffypony:
I must say, Risto is really a nice guy, and the whole thing was a lot less batshit insane than expected.
I think he has very little self-confidence, and makes up for it by being flashy and trying to be as ostentatious as possible, but he's a fairly clever trader and pretty harmless, all things considered.
mp_a_colonia: so
i think they're tearing down this building as we speak.
fluffypony: ThickAsThieves:
I decided to live tweet instead of live blog
fluffypony: actually
I had the liveblog on a backup
mp_a_colonia:
i dunno, wasn't it gonna be this weekend past ?
mp_a_colonia: benkay: the girl's recently gotten rather militant about our sleep schedules -
i'm interested in the topic at large. << which way ?

i read the log about your ichimo cloud
ThickAsThieves:
i shared the marketwatch link with them and it was news to them
mike_c:
i'm sure they will eventually. possibly at govt pace though.
mike_c:
i guess its inside info
pankkake: yes, sure,
I could rely on others to do the corruption for me
pankkake: of course,
I myself don't like corruption because
I am bad at dealing with people
xmj: it means
i can finally buy lawmakers without people watching! that's good, right??
ThickAsThieves: thanks to moiety
i cant think of the word manual the same anymore
cazalla: thestringpuller:
i think it was lag + otp page was cached
jurov:
i'm trying to figure out something around here, would need to set up slovak translation and support, is that intersting for you?
pankkake:
I would have thought they would be under your radar already
ThickAsThieves: ah

I forgot said if by 50 you had no Rolex, your life was a failure
decimation:
I agree with your point,
I'm just trying to build up a case that the other side makes
TheNewDeal: ;;later tell bitcoinpete
I'm waiting on bitbet to resolve before sending funds. If it happens before around 8PM GMT on July 1st,
I'll be able to make the payment then. Otherwise
I will be camping in until Sunday, July 6 (at the latest) without an internet connection.
decimation: asciilifeform: wrt "crowdsourcing wisdom": usually
I find that the proofs offered by the proponents are simple parlor tricks
BingoBoingo: TheNewDeal: Asks are thin,
I merely offer liquidity.
jonvaage: BingoBoingo: Alright, thanks.
I'll get digging.
BingoBoingo: asciilifeform: Well thanks to Cex.io Bitcoin seems largely stuck in a phase like that nao.
I think persistent steady states are mythical beings though.
jonvaage: Haha,
I've said more than once that scammers are pro-social in an anti-fragile system.
