thestringpuller: you don't even wanna meet Eminem?
mircea_popescu: i don't know the people, nor do i care to meet them.
kleeck: There is no question that it's taking a long time, but that doesn't mean he is running with the money.
kleeck: It still isn't closed.
mircea_popescu: course, the azns don't have anyone keeping an eye on things and it shows. they got lucky this time.
Namworld: Falling down. Can't do otherwise after such a rapid and ridiculous rise.
bgupta: dub: I guess this was baked in after the 2011 hack? Don't even know what he can do now other than "reboot gox" ;) You'd think rather than "rollback trades" while trading is still open, he'd have to halt trading to sort it out.
thestringpuller: t'was me
thestringpuller: Diablo-D3 you don't run company's very well
bgupta: well looking at their trading volume and theoretical commissions leads me to believe that if they didn't have a huge staff (which it appears they didn't) and they weren't paying for the overhead of AML/KNY, then they had to be profitable while operational.
bgupta: IE: They didn't shut down because they weren't profitable...
bgupta: best as I can tell they shut themselves down due to fears of AML/KYC regulations in the US. I don't think anyone can speak for anything else.
mircea_popescu: pankkake i also don't wear one, mostly cause too lazy to put them on
dub: don't like wearing any jewlery

mircea_popescu: here's how this works : as noobs come in but don't bother to learn what's what, the prices go up on all exchanges
random_cat: we don't need no stinkin markets
ThickAsThieves: that can't last
bloctoc: looks like Europe doesn't want anything to do with this price
mircea_popescu: anyway. don't break anything darlings, remember, we want to fuck this babe for many years to come rather than bukakke her to death today.

bgupta: still well above the 24 hour x-echange moving average.. won't say popped until it drops below.
BingoBoingo: BTC China doesn't seem to be dropping...
freeroute: nope, it wasn't. It was only from the klondikes IIRC.
BingoBoingo: freeroute: Surely that can't be from their l33t chips? I mean who only orders 2TH can needs to collect money for shares?
BingoBoingo: freeroute: I see a lot of hype, but eASIC doesn't even have fabs. ActiveMining also doesn't have anything hashing after how long?
freeroute: dub: don't worry, I'll grant you the permission to explain it to me another day :p
freeroute: dub: I did. I'm following him on BTCtalk. He isn't much of a communicator, but if that deal with eASIC goes through, it could mean a lot in terms of shares AFAIK.
snackman: dub mike_c I really don't understand why you guys are kicking me hwen I'm down 5k
snackman: mike_c the blockchain still won't allow doublespending...
snackman: mike_c that doesn't make sense - if the bet lost then it lost and it's gone, no different transaction will change that
snackman: mike_c I don't understand
mike_c: snackman: here it is without snark. say your bet lost. all you would have to do is send a different transaction with a fee that would get confirmed first and you didn't lose anything.
mike_c: good thing you didn't run satoshi dice :)
dub: the lesson here, that eveyone else learned some time ago is don't use betsofbitcoin
snackman: Nuggie_ it's bullshit that bets aren't counted as occurring at time of transaction broadcast... that's what hte bitcoin network is abut
bgupta: mike_c: arb would work if btc wasn't raillying 25%/day. arb will catch up when things slow down.
pascal257: snackman: unconfirmed transactions don't necessarily have 100% network propagation
mike_c: right, but bet satisfaction doesn't always have a fixed date, like in this case.
snackman: mike_c it doesn't have to kill the bet too early... it could just go asymptotic as the bet's satisfaction approaches
snackman: mike_c I don't think it's a fair way to disincentivize that
Nuggie_: assuming my bet doesn't get confirmed in time?
mike_c: i don't that is a win yet anyway. bet is above 750, and current high is 750.0
snackman: yeah, I transferred from bets of bitcoin and apparently they didn't put a fee on it...
snackman: right, and i'm also confused why blockexplorer shows my transaction and blockchain doesn't - anyone know why that is?
Nuggie_: and we're afraid that our bet won't get confirmed in time
Nuggie_: the bet hasn't been resolved yet. but it will be soon
Nuggie_: snackman, technically the bet hasn't been resolved yet
snackman: I bet on the 750 Gox bet early in the afternoon, but my transfer didn't make it in time
pascal257: now that I could confirm that I got the exchanged shares I for one am happy, but I still don't approve what he did
pascal2571: well first of all I'm assuming you're Diablo-D3 from btctalk and then I'm referring to 4 AM shares which I should have gotten in return of my DMC shares, unfortunely I didn't get any response to my PMs confirming the transfer
benkay: "we don't see any problems with bitcoin, but do please follow the rules in operating your businesses."
nubbins`: only downer is that i don't trust the rate enough to not convert to fiat
Bugpowder: Do not bet after a bet is closed, and just to be on the safe side don't bet on a proposition that's imminently going to close (such as don't bet after the condition of the bet has been satisfied in the hopes of peeling some BTC off the suckers that took the risk). Also, it's always a good idea to include a fee in your transaction: they aren't really that much and the network depends on them by design.
nubbins`: todi, i was responding to TaT. i don't run bitbet
Bugpowder: I can't believe how much an opened 25 is going for on ebay.
